Ch.24 Carters POV

Me and Matt have been getting a lot closer lately which was weird cause we were never that close at Magcon. Also Caroline and Matt needed a little break from CJ. They told me how to take care of her and all that. They said I always had to keep her in sight and rock her gentle. It was a month after CJs birth. She was now four in a half months old. She looked a lot like Matt. They told me CJ hasn't opened her eyes yet so I gotta keep an eye out cause if she does I gotta take a pic for them. They left and it was 8:34. Bed time. I warmed up some smashed whatever and put a small straw in CJs mouth. I blew the food and fed her. She was adorable. I kinda wanted a kid now. I sit down and put a show on. Breaking Bad. I was rocking CJ a little bit and was drinking some Tea cause I was sick. CJ fell asleep fast so I put her in the crib next to me. I decided to put on a scary movie. Paranormal Marked Ones started to play and I got sucked into it. We were in the living room and I didn't know how dark Caroline's house can be. I got up and was about to turn the light on when I heard something fall. I thought it was CJ and quickly ran to her crib and luckily she was still inside. I turned a lamp on the barely had enough light for me to see CJ. I watched the movie when a jump scare happened making me fall out of the couch. "Ow shit, I mean shoot." wait CJ was asleep so I can curse. "fucking damn movie." I get back on the couch and lay down. I started to get a weird feeling someone was standing over me. I turn my head to see if anyone was behind the couch. Nothing. I continued watching the movie 20 minutes later I start freaking the fuck out. I swear I thought I saw something in the kitchen. I started to hear weird noises and I began to get a little nervous. I picked up CJ and turned the tv off. I still had the lamp on but it was hard to see the stairs. I was midway through the stairs when the lamp turned off. I slowly turned my head and it was pitch black downstairs. I ran as fast as I can up into Caroline's room. I quickly close the door and laid CJ in her crib. I locked the door for safety procedures or maybe cause I'm a little baby. I turned the TV on and put something happy on. I ended up falling asleep. I started to hear loud banging on the door. I jumped out of bed and grabbed a bat from Caroline's closet. Caroline has gotten some stuff to keep herself safe which thank god she had a bat in here. Wait. How the fuck am I gonna beat a ghost. The door banged louder and louder. CJ started to cry and I picked her up. I walked slowly to the door as the banging stopped. I reached for the doorknob.
