When dawn hit the sandstorm had settled, and most residents had now started to crawl out of their bunkers for just a little bit of sunlight. This would probably be a good time to note down their locations and give them to the boss.
I get out from my hiding place and dig up my bag then stuff my blanket inside and take out my compass. My compass moves a bit then stops. I head southeast towards the city of the dead.
This is around ---- years after an asteroid had hit the earth, and more than half of the society had been wiped out entirely, no one had predicted that this would happen.
Well other than those old hags. "those old hags never die." my voice sounded hoarse. it's been a while since I spoke, like about five days? Oh, that reminds me I'm almost out on food. I then cough a bit, bend down, open my mask then spit out some saliva and quickly pull up my mask because the wind is starting to pick up again and I don't want to get any more sand in my mouth it is not the tastiest.
"bleah" I stick out my tongue. "fuck, I swallowed a mouthful" I try my best to spit out all the remaining sand within my mouth in my mask and try to not let it go back in my mouth. "ugh" I glance at the compass and keep heading southeast towards the city of the dead. It was not quite a city but there weren't many people the 'people' that were there weren't exactly people per se.
But, well, they were either android out on an errand or a mutant that you know like those fantasy things like a man/women with ears and a tail or some others with an animal body that have like fur on them and they all stand like humans and speak like humans. The human language is the most basic and is needed to communicate with other races.
Why was the human language named the common language?
well, that's simple you could earn the trust of a higher-level specie and their entire being would be fulfilled. It was something that humans input into the mutants and androids to make themselves feel as though they are 'Higher beings'.
"Hey, kid been a while" I was thinking and had already gotten to the city but had caught the eye of that old rapist. his mug is still the same a scar on his nose and ears that resemble something close to a rabbit. the way he leered at me made me shiver and had me look closer and it seems that another one of his teeth is gone it seems like someone knocked him out. not like there were many left but it still makes me think shit 'bout him. I look beside him and there is ah yep.
" I see that you've got another souvenir," I said while not giving any emotion in my voice.
The old man covered the woman "she's mine you, snake-like bastard" she had blood leaking out her side and all I did was look and he had raged at me like I was going to steal her I took off my hood. my horns then started to regenerate after I cut them off a few weeks ago just for a bit of intel for the boss why didn't boss githe ve me money?
I stand there and stare at him for a good minute "Harris" I hiss "where's the boss?" I use a bit of my innate intimidation that should make harris get at least a shiver. "Harris? HARRIS? fuck he fainted" Whoops, let's just walk into the city and see how that goes.
