Third Person POV

Screams of civilians flood the ears of one of the strongest heroes on the planet. Steel, the man that controls any metal variant, rushes onto the scene of what had started as a pile up on the Northern Bridge. Cars were crowded together, leaving only small paths for people to run through to escape the bridge.

With the doom of falling into the water underneath the unstable bridge, people would shove each other to find their safety on either side of the usually busy way into the city.

Steel uses his powers to launch cars to the side of the bridge to leave more space for people. He looks all around, trying to find what else he can do.

The bridge makes loud noises, like it was holding onto the last seconds that it would stay standing. Steel notices that one car had rammed straight into one of the posts holding the bridge up.

Lucky for him, a metal post.

Steel shot his hand out, feeling the metal want to give out and bend the other way. He pulled the metal up, now having to use two hands to control his ferrokinesis. The post squeaks under the pressure but the bridge was temporally stable.

As Steel stabilizes the structure, he suddenly feels a presence beside him. He scoffs and glances over his shoulder, "Need something?"

Bolt, the man that can control electricity, huffs out an annoyed breath, "Yeah, actually! Did you even try to contain those wires?" He points to some electrical wires that had gotten loose from a huge crack in the pavement of the bridge.

"Shit!" Steel mumbles, still using his power to hold the bridge securely. "Okay, fine! Go do your thing, wonder boy!"

Bolt makes a noise of arrogance and hurries over to the wires. He uses his own power to steady the electric shocks coming from the cut ends of wires. He sticks his tongue out in concentration as he stops them from shocking out wildly.

One last press to his powers, Steel molds the metal into a tighter pole. He moves away, jumping up and down in success. He turned to Bolt, still smiling until he saw that Bolt was struggling with putting the wires together.

Before Steel can go in to help, someone steps up to Bolt. Red boots and all, there stands the most volatile superhero in Steel's opinion. Blaze kneels down beside Bolt, reaching out to pinch the wires together with his fingers. Bolt keeps the wires from going crazy and exploding on them as Blaze melts the rubber only slightly so it can mold together.

Blaze, the man of pyrokinesis. He doesn't interact often with the other heroes; Steel and Bolt seeing each other at scenes every now and then.

Bolt stands, walking to move by Steel, away from Blaze. Blaze just watches as he stands too. The man walks to them but turns to look at the post that Steel had stabilized. He hums and chuckles, "You two are quite the pair." Steel and Bolt glance at each other, confused. "If I didn't know any better, then I would think that you two are a team."

Bolt scoffs, "Well you clearly don't know."

Steel crosses his arms, "I work alone."

"As do I." A new voice growls angrily. They turn to see Polar, man of cryokinesis. He pushes past them, banging his shoulder into Steel's. "With idiots like yourselves, the whole world would burn down. Literally." He shoots a glare at Blaze before using his power to shoot a coat of ice over the fire the others had failed to notice. A whole car was about to ignite in flames, but Polar had quickly put it out.

"I could've handled that." Blaze growls.

Polar scoffs, "Then why didn't you? Too busy trying to be cool?" As he said the word 'cool', Polar blew out a snowflake from his mouth. It went into the face of Blaze, immediately angering him.

Steel and Bolt went into action to grab both men; Bolt pulling Polar away and Steel pushing Blaze away. This wasn't uncommon for the public to see. Everyone knew that Blaze and Polar hated each other. There wasn't much of a reason other than them being opposites in the power department.

"Stop it!" Steel shouts, "Stop!" Blaze and Polar give up when they notice the amount of cameras pointed at them from only twenty feet away.

"Whatever," Blaze states. "It's not worth it."

With an angry huff from Polar, the group disbands. They go their separate ways, not wanting anything to do with each other.

"Baby, I'm home!" Niall calls as he enters his apartment.

Zayn comes into the living room, a smile present on his face. "Hey, love! How was work? I'm sorry I couldn't go today, I had that meeting with the school district about distributing textbooks from our shop. Were you able to get on without me?"

Niall hesitates, trying to think of the next lie to tell his husband. "Well, it wasn't too eventful." Zayn laughs softly and goes to Niall for a kiss. "Don't worry about it."

Zayn pulls Niall by the hand to the couch, shoving him playfully onto the piece of furniture. Zayn climbs over him, kissing the man's lips hungrily. Zayn moves to put his hand beside Niall's head but accidently hits the tv remote. The tv turns on, bringing their attention to it immediately when they hear a news reporter talking.

"Today was a barely missed tragedy when a large pile up almost caused the Northern Bridge to collapse into the water. Lucky for everyone on that bridge and the city of Eroda, our very own superheroes moved in to save it. The first to arrive on the scene was Steel. Our most attractive hero, did you see what I did there?" The reporter laughed at her own joke but Niall noticed how Zayn scoffed at it.

Zayn noticed the look he was getting from Niall. He explained, "Steel is nothing special! He's definitely nowhere near your amount of handsome. Also he's just in the way of Bolt."

Niall gapes, "What? Bolt always shows up to Steel's scenes and just shit talks him."

Zayn crosses his arms and gets off of Niall. He sits on the couch, staring at the tv. Niall sits up, knowing Zayn will get over the argument eventually.

The reporter continues speaking, "Next was Bolt, our most electrifying hero. He definitely makes my hair stand up!"

Niall groans, "Gross. He's not attractive in the least amount." Zayn side-glares at Niall.

The reporter smiles into the camera and nudges her partner at all of her jokes. The male reporter, the blue-eyed beauty, Zayn always called the reporter, just rolled his eyes at all of her jokes. She went on speaking, "With the help of our hottest hero, Blaze, the bridge was almost completely safe for civilians!"

"Okay he's not that hot!" Niall and Zayn say at the same time. "Aw, babe!" They share a kiss, their earlier fight over.

"What do you think, Louis? Your gay, right?" The reporter asks her partner.

He gives her a look and sighs, "Yes, Bebe, I am gay."

"Well?" She asks, "From a man's point of view, is Blaze really smoking?"

He scoffs, "Definitely not. His attitude is what throws all looks down the drain. He's a little hot-headed."

The other reporter squealed, "Oh my god! You made one! Yay!" She then looks back at the camera, trying to get back on topic. "Anyway, we're going to ignore what Louis said about the hottest man alive. Soon after Blaze arrived, Polar came into view. His icy blue eyes, ooh! That's one icicle I'd like to-"

"Okay!" The male reporter cut her off, "I'll just take over the rest of the story." He gave her look before continuing, "The four heroes, who are not apart of any team, worked together to keep the Northern Bridge from falling into the ocean!"

"Well," Zayn says tiredly, "At least we can agree that Polar and Blaze have sticks up their asses. And not in the way I'm about to." Niall smirks as Zayn climbs back over him, turning off the tv.
