personality | elias usually doesn't give the best of an impression. firstly, he looks extremely unapproachable with his stoic expression, he can manage to keep a straight face the whole day if he wants to. he seems quite reserved, almost arrogant to a point, and he normally doesn't speak more than necessary. but first impressions aren't always proven to be true. despite how cold and unapproachable he appears, he's actually quite polite and nice to talk to, once you gather some courage to approach him first. he's a man of few words, but he's a really good listener, and can give advice when needed. it does take a bit more for him to warm up to someone but it's certainly worth breaking down his walls and truly get to know him. when it comes to his daughter — roxana, or roxy as he calls her — he becomes a totally different person. he's extremely gentle with her and tries his best to keep up with her jolly personality. as busy as he is with work and other matters, he always makes sure to have separate time for his daughter, and is there for her whenever he can. when the topic of the conversation is roxy, his face lights up and starts talking about her non stop, almost as if bragging about her. as much as he has a soft spot for her, he's also stern with her when needed, though it seems he doesn't do that enough with how spoiled roxy can get.
likes | elias likes being productive, he gets restless when he doesn't do much in a day, and feels like it's a waste of time to rest. which is why he really likes his job, as it keeps him busy enough, but also have enough free time for other matters. he prefers cold weather and likes to bundle up in winter, which makes him look a little silly sometimes. his favorite drink is coffee, not because it's energizing, he just likes the taste.
dislikes | elias doesn't enjoy sweet things, which roxy just cannot understand, as for her, sweets are the best thing ever. she loves making sweets at home and giving them to her dad to try, so even if he doesn't like sweets, he doesn't have the heart the reject something she made herself. something he absolutely despises though, is when people have the audacity to make comments about roxy not being his 'real' daughter. there has been many times where he would talk excitedly about roxy or the things they do together, and someone would think it's okay to say their unsolicited opinion on them. he never fails to shut them up though, since they already find him intimidating.
hobbies | elias usually spends his free time with his daughter, and indulges in whatever she's interested in at that moment. they have movie nights every week, try new recipes when they cook together, or go somewhere roxy wants to go. other than that, he enjoys spending time with his close friends, have a drink or two together when they have time.
habits | elias tends to overwork often, he forgets that he needs to rest sometimes and doesn't take care of himself well, which causes him to face his daughter's wrath (and a lot of scoldings). there are times he works himself to sickness, but he tries not to let it get to that point as it makes roxy worry.

backstory | elias has only known his older sister as family for as long as he's known himself. she was the only person around to take care of him until she got married, and so her husband joined their little family too. they did their best to avoid making him feel the absence of parents, and were doing a pretty good job as well, treating him more like a son than a sibling. when elias became old enough, they decided it was a good time to have a child of their own. everything was going well, too well even. on roxy's 3rd birthday, her parents got in a huge car accident, which cost them their lives, leaving roxy with her eighteen year old uncle. but eli was determined to raise her by himself and not let her get taken away, so he worked twice as hard, managing to balance his education and job and take care of his niece, just like how his sister struggled to take care of him when he was little. of course things got easier as time passed, but he still wishes his sister and brother-in-law was around to see how well their little girl grew up.

friends | nova & kiran quinn - the now married couple have been friends with elias since their middle school days. the three have been inseparable since then and despite their differences in personality, they surprisingly get along pretty well. elias has to suffer through being a third wheel quite a lot, but it's not like he minds, he's happy as long as they are.
