How did it end up like this?

The thing that I wanted the most was to be part of the most famous girls in my school, the Maple Ridge Girls. That was my only dream every day since I started high school. Well, it started even when I was kindergarten. The Maple Ridge Girls and I were part of the same kindergarten, actually I have the same classmates. There are only two kindergartens and one elementary and high school so we end up at the same school altogether. God, I wish I was part of the Maple Ridge Girls. They're solid Teflon, never bothered and never harassed.

There are 3 girls only, Samarah, Sabrina, and Sadie. I was in a bathroom stall while Samarah was puking in the stall right next to me. I could just hear Sadie and Sabrina just talking to Samarah who was puking uncontrollably and I think she is sick or something.

“Grow up, Samarah. Food poisoning is so last season,” Sadie said. I looked through the crack on my door. She was applying her eyeliner on the bathroom mirror while Sabrina was sitting on the sink right next to her. “Maybe you should see a doctor, Samarah,” Sabrina said and Samarah agreed with her.

I heard Miss Mary enter the bathroom. “Ahhh, Sadie and Sabrina—,” she said. I heard Samarah puked again. “—and Samarah,” she said. She looked at Samarah who literally had her face on the toilet bowl. She was puking and Sabrina ran to her, pulling her hair up so that she can puke more easily.

“You're late. Weeks detention,” Miss Mary said. I quickly got out. I somewhat have good handwriting and I can copy anyone's handwriting very easily. “Actually, Miss Mary, all of us are out on a hall pass. Yearbook committee,” I said. I gave her the note and said we should get going.

Sadie got the note from my hand and read. Her eyes widened and looked at me. “This is an excellent forgery, who are you?” she asked me. I introduced myself to her. I know I'm just a lowlife in her eyes so I bowed.

“Samantha Cañada, I have a request,” I said. I think this is the day where I tell the Girls that I want to be part of their clique just once so that the jocks can leave me alone. “What request?” Sadie raised her brow at me looking at me.

“Let me sit at your table, just once, no talking is necessary. If they think you guys tolerate me, maybe they'll leave me alone,” I said. They looked and thought for a minute. They excused themselves and talked about me. They looked back at me and raised my head a little bit.

“For a greasy little nobody, you are beautiful, it's on,” she said. She took out some blush and got a blue outfit that was just like theirs and a blue scrunchie. They made me look at the mirror and that was when I thought I was truly happy. I felt beautiful but everything went downhill a few months after that.

Dear diary,
It's been 5 months since I started hanging out with the Maple Ridge Girls and I am now part of their clique. I'm going in for their Halloween party in a few minutes and—.

I didn't finish writing in my diary when I heard Sadie pressing her horn outside my house. “Hurry up, Samantha. Come down and let's motor!” she said. I ran down and kissed my parents goodbye. “SA-MAN-THAAAA!” Sadie shouted. I got in the back of her car and we drove to the party.

I was out of breath, panting, and crying. My dress was all bloody from all the running. It was all in a secluded area and there were no people alive. It was supposed to just be a fun party and I thought I was going to just hang out with the popular kids but I'm in the middle of a massacre. Sadie is dead on the kitchen floor, Stephen, the organizer, is dead in the bathroom and I'm sitting in a pool of blood from Sabrina and Samarah is missing.

I was running around outside, crying, looking back and I saw the killer, with its mask on its head. I was running in this endless field and I almost tripped. They were running fast and then, I suddenly tripped. They grabbed my scarlet red hair up and they let the knife touch my neck. “Please, don't,” I said. I started tearing up. I could feel the knife press on my skin as the killer takes their mask off. It was Samarah. “Oh look, Samantha's going to whine,” she said. I begged her to not do it and then she pushed me to the ground.

“Why are you doing this?” I asked her. I was catching my breath because I've been running for the past 10 minutes. “You took everything from me, Samantha. I was Sadie's right hand like a Jewish princess Jesus and you, took all of that away from my clutch,” she said.

“Your ass is off the team, Samantha. Go on and bitch and moan. You don't deserve the dream. You're gonna die alone,” she said. She repeated the phrase "die alone" while stabbing me repeatedly in my stomach. I felt the blood coming out of my mouth and I felt my limbs weaken and my eyes starting to close. I was weak, I wasn't going to survive and then, I didn't. I was lifeless, I was just a husk of a body, without any soul. She left, leaving the mask on my face, and saying, I killed all of them.
