Backstory: Anastasia comes from a better-off family. She used to be on the Cheer Squad, and therefore used to be really popular. Thus she used to hang out with the popular crowd such as Chrissy and Jason. However, this ideology was her mothers idea, one which Anastasia hated. The constant pressure to look and be perfect was not one that she wanted to pursue.
Anastasia's parents died in a car crash a few months ago. The crash was caused by her drunk father after him and her mother got into an argument on the way back from a family dinner with Ana's grandparents. The girl was also in the car, and the only one to come out of it alive. The car crashed into a family of four, two of whom were younger children. Out of the victims in the second car, the father was the only one who died on scene. The mother and the two children were in critical condition, but all recovered. Ana occasionally visits the family, the mother of whom doesn't blame her but rather treats her as one of her own. The two often rely on each other for support after the traumatic event.
After the accident, Anastasia changed emotionally and physically, quitting Cheer and no longer hanging out with the popular crowd. The death of her parents gave her the freedom to no longer give into the societal pressure. She became more closed off, quickly becoming friends with Robin and her friends.
Despite only being 17, Anastasia managed to persuade a tattoo artist to give her tattoos, and using her parents money got a few patchwork pieces all over in the space of the few months after their death. (Because like hell yeah, why not?)

Left are some outfit inspirations, right are some patchwork tattoo ideas. She doesn't have as many, but she does have a few on her arms, legs, stomach, and back. Imagine however many/few you want I guess. I'd probably say maybe like 4 or 5 on each body part (each arm, each leg, and stomach) and then one on the back or something.
P.S.: For reference, her parents died just after school ended for the summer, so this was her before her parents death, last time people saw her at school (basically just a goody two shoes) :
