Chapter 5

March 2017

Scarlett's POV:

I wake up to my alarm going off and I roll over and turn it off before rolling back over to see my eldest daughter and my fiancé cuddled up together asleep making me smile.

I climb out of the bed quietly and make my way downstairs to get Melanie's presents ready, she is turning 4 today and I can't wait because I have so many great presents that's she has been asking for.

I lay all the presents out and start to make breakfast, I make waffles with chocolate spread and marshmallows before heading upstairs to Rose's room.

"Morning baby, do you want to come with me to wake Mel up. It's her birthday today"I say rubbing Rose's back and she nods her head and jumps out of her bed and walks with me into mine and Lizzie's room.

Rose climbs onto the bed and starts to jump on it waking both Melanie and Lizzie up, they both look around confused.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY SISSY!"Rose shouts before falling on top of her sister making Melanie giggle, we all laugh at Rose being weird like usual.

"I made breakfast so let's head downstairs before it gets cold"I say and Lizzie rushes and gets out of bed and Melanie and Rose roll out of the bed onto the pile of pillows beside Lizzie's side because we puts all the extra pillows on the floor making them giggle even more.

"They really are two peas in a pod"Lizzie says watching our daughters while they giggle non stop on the ground before jumping up and running out of the room.

Me and Lizzie chase after them making sure they don't hurt themselves, everyone is in the kitchen now and Melanie and Rose are sitting at the table waiting for their breakfast.

I bring them their breakfast and Lizzie brings mine and hers over with her and we all sit down and eat it while the girls giggle about whatever they are talking about while me and Lizzie just watch them with smiles on our faces.

The girls finish their breakfast and I tell Melanie she can open her presents when me and Lizzie are finished our breakfast and the two of them sit and watch as we eat making me and Lizzie laugh.

We finish and bring the plates over to be washed later and I grab Melanie and Rose's hands and walk into the living room and they see all the presents making them gasp and look at each other squealing.

The run over and Rose sits beside Melanie while she sits beside all the presents, "You can open them Mel"I say and she jumps up and grabs one of the presents.

She opens all her presents and there is one left, "Open it but be very careful okay?"Lizzie says handing it to her, she nods her head and carefully opens the box lid seeing and little puppy.

"It's a puppy!"She screams and Rose looks in and squeals making us smile, Melanie picks the puppy up gently and pushes the box away and holds the puppy in her arms.

"It's a boy what are your gonna name him?"I ask her, "I'm gonna name him Sammy"Melanie says smiling and I smile at her.

"I love that name"I say and Lizzie nods her head in agreement, "I love it too!"Rose says smiling while petting Sammy gently making me smile at how they are both so careful with him.

Melanie stands up and passes Sammy over to Rose and she hugs me and Lizzie while thanking us, I kiss her head and hug her back and then Lizzie kisses her cheek and hugs her back.

She runs over to Rose and Sammy again and they both play with him, Lizzie goes upstairs to grab an outfit for each of the girl knowing they won't want to go upstairs without Sammy because he isn't allowed upstairs until he is potty trained and then it is fine.
