The sun slowly rose, it was a nice and beautiful day. . . well not for you. your entire life anytime something important happened for you or your family they would just get into a fight about random stuff. luckily you had a great friend who would take your mind off this.

Y/N: *yawn* finally I'm 16!

you hoped today would be different with you parents but as you got dressed. you wore a F/C shirt with black pants, also a Blue zip up hoodie. you walked downstairs and your parents were arguing.

Y/N: morning.

Y/M & Y/D: yeah whatever *goes back to yelling*

you went into your kitchen and made yourself breakfast. you were just silently eating until your phone started ringing. you took it out to see your best friend Dan was calling you.

Y/N: morning Dan .

Dan: (on phone) hey Y/N happy birthday!

Y/N: thanks

Dan: (on phone) want to hang out today.

Y/N: sure!

Dan: (on phone) alright meet me at the arcade.

you hung up and quickly finished your breakfast. you walked out the door not caring if your parents knew or not. You walked down town saying hi to your neighbors and other people you knew. the truth is everyone in your town knew about your parents and what they do, you honestly didn't want to be there and now that you were 16 maybe things would change.

Dan:? Y/N!

Y/N: hey Dan how you been?

Dan: good anyways ready to have a fun time.

Y/N: yep.

you both went into the arcade and had fun. You managed to get a lot of prizes and were getting hundred of tickets. the arcade was soon closing so you both decided to cash in your tickets.

Dan: here you go, 4000 tickets 

Y/N: hope we get something good.

Worker: here is your prize.

they took out a yo-yo.

Dan: bro

Worker: we are now closing please leave.

Y/N: ill take it.

you both walked out of the arcade. you checked you phone to see its 6PM

Y/N: alright I got till 8 until I have to head home.

Dan: alright.

you both went to the park in your town.

Y/N: why is it called the "cursed forest" anyways.

Dan: some rumors and people who have been here for a long time said a demon known as an "exe" roams the forest and kills anyone in there. no one has gone missing for years because no body goes in there.

Y/N: ok . . . weird.

you both talked for a little more until you realized the time.

Y/N: crap its 9 I gotta get home.

Dan: sorry man I wish you the best of luck.

Y/N: thanks.

you said while leaving the park. you were walking but going fast trying to get to your house. you reached it by 9:30 and knew you were in trouble as soon as you walked through that door. you opened the door to be greeted with your parents standing there.

Y/M : Y/N do you have any idea what time it is!

Y/N: I'm sorry I lost track of time.

Y/D: no excuses. your grounded the entire weekend.

Y/N: but!

Y/M: go to your room now!

you ran to your room and started to cry. you don't understand why they are like this with you, they didn't even say happy birthday in the morning. you looked out your window and realized something.

Y/N: (crying a little bit) is. . . that the forest?

you saw the forest everyone says to be cursed. you honestly had to deal with 16 years of your parents doing this so you decided to finally leave.

Y/N: Id rather be out there than here.

you opened your window and jumped out, thank god your room was on the second floor you thought. you ran into the forest but then looked back at your house. wondering if you should go back. suddenly you heard someone yelling.

Y/M : Y/N!!!!!!!!!

you then ran into the forest crying, knowing your in trouble once you get out. You ran for a while and finally stopped. you sat against a tree just crying. suddenly you heard a female voice.

???: are you ok?
