First period was dragging on as always even though it was a free period in the morning for me to talk to my friends, Grace, Gianna, Monica, Abby, Madison Hassett and Eliot.

We had just finished that annoyingly long, thousand piece puzzle and now with nothing to keep us occupied, the table filled with chatter about what we'll be doing for the summer or the different places someone else will be visiting.

I envied them a little sometimes. Getting to travel to these new countries and telling stories about the strange people they come across. At the same time it was also nice to be able to relax in the comfort of my home and invite friends over for sleepovers and afternoons in the pool paired with a walk to Wawa together.

I half listen while I watch the clock. Every tick of the second hand felt like it moved every minute. Oh wait I was staring at the minute hand.

"Madi!"

I jerk my head in the direction where my name was called and looked at Grace the one that shouted my name.

"Sorry I wasn't paying attention could you repeat that?" I asked.

Gianna followed up and said, "Madi this isn't like you to not be paying attention in a conversation. Is everything alright?"

"Everything is fine thanks for asking Gianna." I reassured her.

Just like that first period was over. Three more hours until I have language arts.

While I was at my locker trying to open the lock to my locker which was being very difficult with me.

I told the gay one (MEEEEEEE) to watch my locker as I was about to call Mrs. Farr to help me open it. Just then Anthony showed up after hearing me complain about how my lock wouldn't open while going to Mrs. Farr's classroom.

"Haha look who couldn't open their lock," he laughed.

"Shut up Anthony," I told him.

"What's your locker combination Madi?" He asked genuinely.

I looked over at Tatiana who was smiling and making a heart with her fingers and pointing at Anthony and me.

I walked over to him and shot Tatiana a death glare as they walked away playfully.

I tell him my lock combination and he bends down slightly to flaunt his height.

I scoff at this action. Then my expression turns into surprise when he opened my lock on the first try with precise movements of his hands.

"That was easy. Get good." He bragged.

I roll my eyes at him. Always trying to one up me.

"I don't want to be late but call me if you need anything." He advised me.

"Okay I will." I told him and he shot me one of his contagious sweet smiles and I couldn't help but smile back. As he walked away and turned his head back to look at me, the way he always does when he walks.

Shit I'm gonna be late to Mr. Jone's class if I don't fucking hurry.

When I got there I was one fucking minute late and Mr. jOnEs gave me a lecture in front of the whole class on why it's so important to show up on time. It was one fucking minute for fucks sake.

When that boring ass lesson with Mr. Jones🤮 was over, lunch time finally came around which meant I could sit with my friends and laugh at Brandon's posture.

The temperature outside was 90° fucking degrees, hot and dry. The table of boys next to us including Anthony went outside.

Not wanting to sit too far from him I suggest that we should go outside too. After a short disagreement, we got our food and walked outside to the table we always sat at when we went outside. Luckily the guys were sitting at the table right besides it.
