Two weeks passed before we set off again towards Inazuma. As expected, Beidou gave me a ban on leaving the ship and told me to either sit on the deck or help. I, on the other hand, had my own plans. I tried to convince her, but it was for nothing. If the captain is stubborn about something, there is no way to convince her of something.
When we arrived and Beidou took care of her client, I quietly bypassed everyone and went to the restaurant where I had recently eaten with my newly met friends. At the counter, however, there was only a boy with ears and a tail who was eating the cake. The only thing I could do was sit down with him to even occupy my time.
As soon as I sat down, he looked at me tilting his head to the side and I smiled and he almost choked on a piece of cake.
- Everything's all right? Did I scare you? - I started to ask worried.
- Sorry, I just didn't expect someone to sit so close to me - he replied coughing.
Maybe I sat a little too close. Of course, I didn't do it on purpose.
- Are you waiting for someone? - he asked as he pulled himself together.
- I look more for friends whom I have recently met to come here. After all, we saw each other recently and I didn't even have time to say goodbye, long story. And you?
- I am also waiting for my friends, I have something to share with one of them. So if you have nothing better to do, you can keep me company - he smiled and wagged his tail.
- I'd love to - I replied, unable to take my eyes off his tail. This was the first time I saw a man with elements of an animal. Well, maybe not the first one, because I saw a goat-human, but you can't move your horns too much and it was so satisfying.
- Excuse me miss, is there something wrong with my tail? Or it's just the first time you see something like this? - He interrupted my thoughts as if embarrassed.
- Rarely during my travels have I seen such different ... Creatures?
- Hmm, I get it.
We sat for a while more talking when Kazuha and Tomo approached us. They looked surprised to meet me. I was about to say hi, but my new friend was faster. He got up and went straight to the point:
- Thank you Kazuha for coming so quickly, there is one thing I wanted to talk to you about.
- No problem - the red-eyed replied. I felt his gaze on me and it gave me chills, it was a really strange feeling. He just smiled to himself and engrossed himself in the conversation with the eared boy.
While I was watching them, Tomo came from behind and scared me, putting his hands on my shoulders. I must admit that I got scared quite badly and jumped up at which he laughed:
- I didn't think I was so scary. Besides, I also did not think that I would see you again, when the last time that pirate lady picked you up she looked pissed off.
- Yes, in theory I am forbidden to come here, but it doesn't hurt to get some air, does it? I replied half jokingly, half seriously.
- Won't you get in trouble? You know, she can forbid you to come here at all, and nobody would like that.
- Maybe you are right, but if I take care of my time, nothing will happen and Beidou will not even realize it.
- Wouldn't it be easier to talk to her?
- I tried, but she and her theories cannot be persuaded if she sticks to something.
- Okay, just don't want it to end twice as bad.
- I can do it, and if not, I will figure it out.
We talked for a while about my life on the ship. Kazuha was doing his own affairs with a friend. The fact that they knew each other really surprised me, and it turned out that we were waiting for the same people. The boys took care of everything quickly and they came back to me and Tomo.
- Nice to see you again [Y/N] - Kazuha smiled at me warmly and then looked at his furry friend, giving him a sign that he could speak.
- Sorry I didn't introduce myself before, General Gorou of the Watatsumi Island, all Kazuha's friends are mine as well - he stood to attention as in the military.
- It's an honor, General, I'm [Y/N] ready to act - I assumed the same pose as him, trying not to laugh. He just wagged his tail nervously, looked to the side and blushed slightly with embarrassment.
- You didn't have to be so official, although sometimes it's good to know who not to mess with because he serves or even orders in the army - Kazuha laughed.
- You know that I can't introduce myself informally - Gorou broke down a bit, which could be deduced from his expression.
- At least it turned out funny, sorry for turning it into a joke but I couldn't help myself - I shrugged my shoulders pleased and looked at the port.
I saw that the crew is slowly gathering, so it was certain that we were leaving soon. I didn't want to go now, when I had just met a new person and started getting along with him, but I preferred not to risk it. I sighed sadly:
- Forgive me, but I should probably go now, or she will lock me up next time. I will try to come here when we come again. Thank you for everything.
Kazuha and Tomo nodded and started waving to me, Gorou just made a face that meant he didn't understand, but there was no time to explain now. I immediately moved towards the ship and crept into my cabin. I don't remember anything more because I went to sleep happily, so Beidou didn't have a chance to talk to me that day. Her fault that we left late and when they finished it was already evening.
