"Finally one more shift and i'm out of this hell hole" i groaned. my goal still had yet to be reached. fuck Alex. that was it. today i wore a blouse. one modest enough to fit dress code, but also revealing enough that he'd notice me. i went into the office before i clocked in
"hey kitten" that surprised me. He had never been so assertive before and it was kinda hot.
"i-" i didn't know what to respond with
"i got you a present for your last day" he handed me a gift bag "open it when you get home" he smiled
"ok" i said. i was really dry. i wanted to try to pull away from him now so it would be easier for both of us. i mean, we probably weren't gonna see each other after today. i walked out and got to work.
"AHHH BESTIE" i shouted
"SLAYYY here's your energy drink. a watermelon redbull"
"ok i'm expecting a post in the work group chat" i said seriously
"i know imma write it on break"
"slay ok can you bag for me? your the best one we got rn"
"for sure for sure"
we got to work. Derrick didn't even say goodbye to me when he left for the day. i guess we left on some pretty bad terms but he could at least acknowledge the work i did for his restaurant.the day went by pretty fast. it was emotional. my favorite workers stayed after close that night to take pictures and tell stories. we all left the store at around 12 and bestie walked me to my car.
"bro imma miss you so much" he said
"me too. i promise i'll visit"
"omg i'm gonna cry can i get a hug?" we hugged for a good minute. both of us close to tears. i drove home almost regretting my desicion to leave when i remembered the bag Alex left me with. it felt really light when i held it.when i got home i didn't even bother to take my shoes off and when into my room to open the bag. out i took a single piece of paper
Now that we don't work together, you wanna take it to the next level?

-Alexi called him
"hey Alex" i said smiling
"hey you wanna come over? he asked
