"It's just the beginning to the end"

He looked up from his phone, turning it off in the process. In front of him stood a girl with pink hair. "Hi i'm Nana, my friends call me kawaii-chan sometimes though" she smiled at him looking enthusiastic, well more than him at this moment. He returned a smile smile, since it was the polite thing to do in the moment. Nana looked like she was waiting for him to say something, not looking like she was leaving anytime soon.

He sighed "My names Andres". He had straightened up in his seat since he was slouching. 'First impressions ugh' Andres thought. "I've never seen you around are you new?" Nana seemed excited thinking she'll get herself a new friend. She bounced on her heels. Andres stared at her and smiled genuinely feeling relaxed by her presence. "Yeah i'm new just moved here from O'khasis" he repeated what he had told Laurence earlier.

"Is it fine if I sit beside you? Most of my friends aren't in this home room, it's fine if you don-" Nana started rambling tripping over her words. Andres smiling knowing they where going to be the best of friends. He nodded cutting Nana off from her rambling. Nana smiled sitting on the desk beside him moving it closer to his. Andres started tracing the drawings that where carved into his desk he had chosen.

Nana stared at him trying to decipher him just a little more. "Do you like cake or sweets?" Nana said with excitement in her voice. Andres looked like he was debating it not sure. "Never tried any honestly" Nana looked absolutely shocked by that statement "What how could you not have tried sweets, it's all I eat it's my favorite, here here you have to try this" She started reaching into her bag that sat on the floor right beside the desk. Andres examined her not daring saying anything.

She sat back up straight with a lollipop she just pulled out her bag. She reached over handing it to Andres. He took it gratefully muttering "thank you Nana". Before, she could say anything the bell ran signaling the thirty minutes of homeroom had just been finished. Nana opened her mouth to speak but the teacher started talking for the first time today. "Okay class it's time to go to the gym for the yearly club social, if you look around most of your classmates seem to not be here because they where setting up for it." He kept going on about how it's mandatory and such.

The teacher got up walking towards the classrooms doors telling everyone to follow him. Everyone got up grabbing their bags and followed him towards the gym. Andres and Nana walked beside each other not having anything to say. Andres still had the lollipop she gave him in his hands. As he walked he unwrapped it and popped it into his mouth smiling a bit from the flavor. 'No wonder she likes this so much mhm' He let out a satisfied him. Little did he know Nana was staring at him smiling and looked excited since he seemed to like it.

They stood outside the gym doors the teacher started talking "Everyone should know this since we did this last year, but just a recap after the club social you go to your very last period and then your out for the day" Andres looked shocked by what the teacher just said "O'khasis prep could never" he mumbled under his breath. His fellow classmates walked into the gym as he and Nana walked in last.

Andres looked confused staring all around him looking at all the venues that where set up. "Oh right let me show you around here at all the clubs" Nana spoke up staring at him. Andres nodded not saying anything since he still had the lollipop in his mouth. Nana started walking towards the venues, while Andres walked behind her looking like a curious puppy looking around at everything. "Hey Nana are you in any clubs?" He sounded curious wondering what the girl could be in.

Nana stopped looking back at him "Actually yea i'm in the cooking club" She had this excited glint in her eyes that Andres seemed to notice. Seeing how passionate the girl in front of him was, he wished he would find something like that eventually. He knew he had no passion for the piano lessons his parents force onto him. Nana saw his dazed look noticing he zoned out. She waved her hand in front of his face trying to snap him out of it.

Andres finally snapped out of it giving her a sheepish smile and a quick "sorry". She shook her head at him smiling and motioned for him to follow her as she started walking. He walked behind her again while she spoke about every one giving a small description. He just nodded even thought she couldn't see him do that. That's when something she said made him interested. "Over there is the sign up sheet for the drama club, they help you on acting and have shows every now and then, the people in it are very welcoming" She stopped in front of it just like how she did with every other club.

Andres stared at the club thinking about it having a argument in his head. "This one, It sounds interesting I might sign up but I don't know" He sounded disappointed. Nana couldn't understand why he sounded so upset by what his interest was but chose to ignore it just having met the boy. "Go for it, try something new maybe you'll like it" Nana said sounding excited trying to push the boy to sign up for the club that had finally caught his interest.

Andres took a quick glass over to her, he didn't want to disappoint her by saying he won't try it out. He walked forward towards the sign up clip board. Andres grabbed the pen scribbling down his name and grade level down on the piece of paper 'Andres Gonzalez, Sophomore' He heard footsteps coming toward him. Looking up and putting the pen down, Andres saw a girl with pink hair again but it wasn't Nana.

She held out her hand looking excited, Andres shook her hand examining her appearance. The mysterious girl had pins on her shirt that where colorful and she seemed to have a sage sleeveless vest over her school shirt. Andres stopped it finally snapping out of it pulling away his hand from the overly excited teenage girl in front of him. She looked way younger than Andres.

"Hi Hi I see you've joined my club, my names Nixie, Your name is Andres how nice" She said looking down at the paper reading it. Nixie looked like she was bouncing on her feet she did this every time someone signed up. She had a lollipop in her mouth and a bunch of wrapped ones in her vest pocket that you could clearly see. Andres didn't know what to say to her. "No one really joins drama anymore, It really is underrated I wish people had a passion for it" She sighed and stared at him. Andres stared back at her. Then out of no where Nixie started laughing.

Andres joined in laughing with her, Nixie's laugh seemed to be contagious in ways. She smiled at him "I hope to see you in two days at the first club meeting of the year" She handed him a peppermint. "I'll happily be there thank you" He grabbed the peppermint stuffing it into his pocket for later. He started walking away from the booth walking towards Nana. Andres noticed a boy with blue hair was beside Nana the boy waved bye to her and walked away.

Andres reached Nana and she seemed excited for him "I can't believe you did it, I'm so happy for you AHhh" She caught him off guard, she had jumped onto him for a hug. Andres never felt this before, he knew he would keep her around as long as he could. The bell rang signaling the last class of the day.
