Zhongli - Replacement 1

When Zhongli had heard that you got hurt, he rushed over to your home immediately to see of you were okay. You were just lying in bed when your door had burst open making you jump and look to see who it was. You saw it was your boyfriend, Zhongli.

"Oh thank Archons!" Zhongli gasped out as he ran and embraced you tightly, accidentally pulling you up and out of your bed.

"I was so worried when I caught word that you had gotten hurt, I am so glad you are okay Guizhong." As soon as those words left the Archon's mouth, both yours and his eyes widen.

"What?" Your voice cracked as you spoke.

Zhongli looked at you with wide eyes but tried to play it off.

"Darling please, I simply mispo-" You backed away from his hold, looking at him with tear brimmed eyes.

"Who."

"Please do not ponder-" You interrupted him again.

"Whose name slipped past your lips Zhongli!? Are you cheating on me!?"

You yelled at him with tears threatening to pour.

"No, darling I would never-" You interrupted him once again.

"Then whose name did you say dammit!?"

Zhongli tried to reach for you, but you backed up, not wanting to feel his warmth. Zhongli looked at you with a hurt expression, his hand returned to his side as he balled his fists and gave you the answered you wished for.

"*Sigh* Guizhong is my deceased lover, the reason I called her name instead of yours is cause you remind me so much of her. It's actually the reason I had started dating you." 

He explained his mistake to you, hoping that you would forgive his simple mistake, but your mind had other questions.

"Am I just a replacement for her?"

"No, I-"

Zhongli stopped and corrected himself, you have a right to know after all.

"Well, yes. At first you were there to fill in the hole in my heart, but I promise, it's not like that any mor-"

"I WAS A STAND IN!?" You yelled out with pain present in your voice.

"Yes, but you must understand that you aren't a stand in any more please calm down lov-"

You shoved him away from you before booking it out of your home, you didn't want to stand there a second longer. You felt the rain smacking against your face, mixing with your flowing tears. Someone called out to you, but you didn't turn to meet the person. Just then someone grabbed your arm, halting you from your escape.

"Let go of me dammit!"

"Y/N please listen to me!"

You yanked your arm from his hold and turned to him with a rage filled face.

"What else is there to say Zhongli!? I was a replacement for a corpse! A CORPSE!"

"My love, please-"

"Did you ever care for ME!? Did you ever love me for ME!? Was I REALLY just some FUCKING REPLACEMENT FOR A DEAD WOMAN!? THAT'S ALL I WAS TO YOU!?" You yelled, gesturing to yourself as you spoke.

"You were at first, but you must realize that I don't see you as that anymore, I LOVE YOU FOR YOU!"

*SLAP*

Just then, your hand harshly struck his face making him fall to the ground while his face realed to the side. He looked at you with wide eyes and cradled his red cheek. You glared at the ground in front of you, fists balling up as you spoke once again.

"You lied to me at the beginning of our love, and you dare try again in this very moment..."

You paused as you slowly lifted your head to meet his shocked gaze through your soaked locks, giving him the coldest glare you could muster.

"I wish hell upon you, never come close to me again..."

You pulled off the ring from your finger, looking at it with sadness before tossing it as you spoke your last words.

"I hate you Zhongli."

With that you turned on your heel and ran off.

"Y/N, wait!"

The Archon called out to you while trying to get up to chase after you once again. Unfortunately for him, he slipped falling onto his arm hurting it in the process. (A/N Lol old man). He groaned and looked to where you ran off spotting the promise ring you tossed. He grabbed it then rolled onto his back and gazed at the ring in sorrow, tears finally falling from his eyes as he cried in the rain. He put the ring to his lips as he spoke once more.

"Forgive me Y/N..."
