I'm sitting on Gus's bed while he showers, reading one of his favorite books. It's called "War and Wild Witchery". Its banned from the school library, but I personally find it very interesting. I'm a few chapters ahead than before when Gus comes out, his lower half wrapped in a towel. I glance up, and feel my face get warm, though I try to keep a neutral expression, and continue reading. "Matty, you can shower now if you want to" he says, flipping through his shirts that are hanging up in his closet. "Okay, I'll be out in a bit." I say, putting a bookmark in the book, setting it down. As I pass by, I make a quick glance at his chest, blushing even more. Who knew that I'd find Augustus Porter this damn cute? He smiles at me. "Were you peaking?" He asks, his voice higher than normal. "No! I wasn't peaking! Who was peaking?" I say quickly, looking away from him. "Aww you were peaking!! We are boyfriends, Matt, it is allowed." He laughs, hugging me from behind. I smile, leaning into him a bit. He tilts his mouth toward my ear and mutters, "though I do need to get changed now, so why don't you hop in the shower?" I chuckle, closing the bathroom door behind me, separating me and Gus.
After my shower, I get changed in the bathroom (I brought my clothes in with me) and then walk out to see Gus with a face mask on, rubbing a roller on his cheeks gently while looking in a mirror. "Are you- are you doing skin care?" I ask. "Yeah? Do you want some? I have some extras!" Gus smiles, setting the roller and rummaging through a drawer. Five minutes later, I'm set up next to him, watching myself glide a crystal roller across a strawberry-pink face mask in a small desk mirror. Not how I would typically spend my night, but I'm not complaining. Gus is having the time of his life, rambling about the benefits of the mask and how the roller helps, and I'm just smiling and nodding along.
Tonight, Gus doesn't set up a bed on the floor, I don't let him. I pull him under the covers with me, smiling awkwardly. "If I'm gonna stay here, you can't sleep on the floor every night. It's bad for your back- duh-" I chuckle, looking away. Gus smiles. "Matty, if you want me in bed with you, you can just say that." He pulls me close "the floor was lonely anyways." Its not long before we fall asleep, Gus's lamp giving the room a dull light to keep the dark away.
