When Fantasia left the portal, she found herself far away from the rest. Not that that was a bad thing in and of itself, but weren't all portals supposed to be close range? Then what were they doing over here?

And why did they feel so annoyed?

"Don't tell me those idiots messed up that badly," Fantasia heard someone say, and looked around. The voice sounded so similar to her own, but she knew that she hadn't said anything!

He felt himself roll his eyes. "No use looking around, we're quite literally stuck together." There was a deep growl in the voice. "Those damn whelps portaled you all the way over here, right into me."

"Wh-What?" The same voice spoke Fantasia's words. Being fused to a stranger sounded like something out of a nightmare! "I-I'm sorry, I didn't know this would happen. If I had, I wou—" They tried to crouch down, but the other Seldnac forced her body to stand up again.

"Stop that."

"I'm sorry, I—"

"And stop that, too!" The stranger snapped before Fantasia could finish her apology.

Fantasia couldn't stop himself from letting out a high-pitched whine, but otherwise stayed silent, tail tucked between their legs. Her heart was racing, which undoubtedly annoyed the other Seldnac even more, and she wanted to hide, but how could you hide from someone who shared your body?

"Good. Now, use these stupidly long legs and make the whelps put everything back in order."

Fantasia barely even dared to nod and started walking. She was shaking slightly, and promptly tripped over her own paws, falling to the ground.

The stranger growled. "What are you, a newborn?"

"I-I... They're different from before..." Fantasia tried to justify himself, but that didn't seem to placate her much.

"Of course they are, we're fused. They're my legs as well as yours." The stranger decided to take the lead and stood up, heading towards the crowd without tripping. Fantasia didn't dare oppose her.

Some of the other Seldnacs were already leaving, but judging by the awkwardness of their movements, they were probably also fused to someone else. Fantasia wanted to look for Sky, or anyone else he knew, but he didn't want to antagonize the stranger any further, so he left all the movement up to her.

"Hey," the stranger called out to the students. "Fix this."

"I... We're trying!" A fox Seldnac answered. "We're waiting on word from our teacher, he'll know, I hope!"

"And when will that be?" The stranger used her—well, Fantasia's—height to look as threatening as possible.

It worked; the student cowered low to the ground. "W-We don't know yet! We'll make sure to notify everyone once we have a solution, so for now, uh, maybe, just... go... go home?"

The stranger growled, which made not only the students, but even Fantasia duck. That, of course, made the stranger look far less threatening. "Didn't I tell you to stop that?"

Fantasia winced, but the stranger hadn't wanted apologies, either, so what was he supposed to do?

The stranger took several deep breaths. "Fine. Fine. You whelps better fix this soon, or I'll make you regret it. And you, at least tell me your name, or I'll have to call you 'Coward' the whole time."

Well, that nickname wasn't too far off from the truth. "I'm Fantasia," they mumbled. "Wh-what's yours?"

"Broken Blackwell. Do you have a home or anything of the sort? Maybe you can get us there without tripping while we wait for them to sort everything out."
