CHAPTER ONE

Isabel's POV

*ring ring* "UGH!! Who's calling so freaking early in the morning" I groan rolling over and looking at my phone that says it almost 6 o'clock in the morning.

"Hello?"

"Heeeeyyyyyyyy, you ready for the first day of our senior year" my best friend, Isaiah askes

"as ready as I'll ever be, I guess"

"Well I'll be there to pick you up at 7:30 so be ready"

"ya, ya, ya. I'll be ready"

"You better be" and with that he hung up.

I put my phone away and rolled off my bed. My long, black hair was sticking up at odd angles because of my nightmares. The ones I've been having ever since the accident.

FLASHBACK

"Izzy!" my older brother calls to me

"What?" I call back, pausing my favorite show, One Tree Hill, to talk to him

"Jenny and I are going to the concert, will you be okay till Dad comes home?"

"Ya, fine, whatever. Have fun." I say waiting for him to finish. I hear the door close and figure he's left so I unpause my show going back into the world of Tree Hill.

END FLASHBACK

How I wish now that I would've gone downstairs to say goodbye.

I go to my closet, looking for my favorite outfit, an oversized tee shirt with a mustache on a monkey and a pair of shorts. Once I'm dressed I grab my phone and my backpack and go down stairs to wait for Isaiah to come pick me up. On my way down I run into my mom.

"Hey sweetheart" she says cheerfully "You ready for the first day of school"

"As ready as I can possibly be this early in the morning" I respond sarcastically. My mom knew I liked to get up early, just on my own not by an alarm clock, or phone.

"Oh by the way, we are going to be having a house guest for a little. His name is Luca and he's from Australia. He's going to be in the foreign exchange program in your school. We are picking him up after school."

I stare at her in disbelief. She just basically told me that a hot, australian dude was going to be living with us, albeit she didn't say exactly that he was hot but when you think Australia you think hot. And of all things to say I say

" My school has a foreign exchange program?" All I get in response is a laugh and a shake of the head.

A car horn honks outside meaning Isaiah is outside waiting to take me to my last year in hell.
