Life was once meaningful, full of peace and happiness. Or at least, that was how it felt when you were a kid. You could simply enjoy even the smallest pleasantries that life had to offer. But, you supposed you earned a different perspective once you start to grow up and once you start to see how life as an adult works.
As a kid you were always asked what you wanted to be as an adult, and you had a clear image of what it was. It made you happy to imagine what that would be like, but then you began to grow up and that carrier goal changed. What you wanted when you grew up, was go continue your education. Not because you had a strong desire for it, or because it brought you a sense of happiness. No. Because it was what was expected of you, to study and get a desired carrier.
But, it wasn't that simple. It was expensive, and the close you got to becoming an adult, you lost that desire. Even if that was expected of you.
Your parents weren't wealthy, they were good folks but they weren't able to afford college for you. You could have taken student loans but, you just... Didn't quite liked the idea of living in such a way, work and pay your loans.
So as soon as you graduated... You did go to college for a year, only to find out what a huge rip off it was. And so, you dropped out, found a job and paid off what you owed.
From then on, you learned just how fucked up life was. School, health insurance, and you could go on and on. All of these things made life feel like another form of slavery. If you wanted to live a semi comfortable life, you had to work. Work for corporations who didn't give a shit about their employees. In fact, they would work their employees to the bone if they could. And without pay of course. Not that... Some didn't do it. Apparently some companies were slaving people on other countries...
Life was just another form of hell, or at least this was how it felt like. And you didn't think it could get any worse... But life was ful of surprises and it sure loved to make you suffer.
Because life could definitely, and will definitely get worse.
