You've seen a few companies like these but only from afar. You've seen very well dressed people walk in and out of the company ina hurry, some on their phones others holding documents. They seemed busy, but they seemed happy with what they were doing. They were valued here, to an extent at least. These employees could be replaceable but the company still had a sense of value to their employees.

And that was what you wanted. To be valued, to be respected and to be thankful for your job. The majority of companies saw their employees as  object that if broken, they could just toss them out and get new ones.

"You listening?" The annoyed voice of the older woman questioned as the elevator stopped . She eyed you up and down for tenth time. "You have no experience, how did you manage to get this job?"Again she asked, her eyes lingering on your access card and your uniform.

It wasn't like hers, hers looked professional to a certain degree but yours looked as if it was made of a better material. Your uniform consisted of a dress, and despite giving them your size, it felt as if it was hugging your body rather too tight. But it was stretchable as to allow you to be able to move as you cleaned around.

You had no experience, but they made sure to provide you with a quick training. So, you knew what you had to do, vacuum, clean, and just make sure everything was clean. But most of all, make sure that THE office was spotless, along with everything else inside that office. Apparently the CEO had a bathroom in there, and a small bedroom. There were times he spent nights here working so he used that room to sleep.

The woman didn't get off the elevator, but she did get a glimpse of the this floor. She was not authorized to be here, apparently so this was the first time she was here. With a glare, she pushed a button and the door of the elevator was shut.

"You're here," the voice in person sounded different, or perhaps it was because he was able  to greet you in person?

Liam stood behind you, since you were still facing the elevator, and as soon as you turned around he had a smile for you. Liam has changed drastically, he wasn't that scrawny shy and quiet teenager. He grew taller, and he was rather lean. He kept his black hair well kept, just like all business men do. But putting aside what he was wearing, he stilled remained handsome. He had always been handsome, despite what  kids used to call him.

His eyes scanned your body, only for his smile to widen a bit. "The uniform fits you perfectly. Well, " he straightened his back, " I am about to leave but seeing that there is no one here with you, they didn't properly tell you where the supplies are. Come. " His smile didn't leave his face as he guided you to a small room, he motioned for you to use the key card and when it opened, you saw all you needed here. " My uncle tends to stay late at night sometimes and he prefer silence." He continued to give you some advice about it. But the job per se wasn't hard, in fact, you'll probably end up with hours to do whatever you wanted. "Sorry I keep looking at you, it's just... Wow. I still can't believe you're right here." He smiled but then relaxed a little. "I've actually wanted to do something for you for a while now but... I haven't been able to."

"You didn't really have to," you smiled back, "I'm glad to hear from you. We didn't know each other that much, but, it's good to hear, to know your doing okay. But thank you, thank you for getting me this opportunity. Work hasn't been easy, so this is what I needed."

"For now, as soon as a new position opens I'll let you know. " Before you replied, he cut you off, "I should leave. But, hopefully we can get to talk a bit more tomorrow. You're starting early tomorrow right? Maybe we can head to the cafeteria and get some coffee or... Something."

He seemed to have been in a hurry, even more when down the hall an man exited the office and just kept staring at the two of you. The way Liam flinched at that man's gaze, you realized that it was his uncle. "I really have to go, good luck and see you tomorrow."

Liam literally ran to the elevator and with a wave, he left. His uncle didn't budge from his spot, his eyes were glued on your form for a few minutes. Even as you entered the room, and retrieved somethings from it, you just knew he was still there. When you exited the room, you were met with his gaze.

His uncle stared at you for a few more seconds and then he entered his office once more. Honestly, if you did not know that he was indeed Liam's uncle, you would question him. That man looked just a few years older than Liam .

Shaking your head, you began to do some light cleaning here and there and waited until the man left the office. When he did leave, it was in the middle of the night. Happy that he was gone, you hurried to clean the office and everything else just in case he returned.
