"Hibiki! Are you ready?"

"Yeah. I am." Said a girl with dark grey and dark blue-rooted hair that hung just below her shoulder blades. She brushed her bangs behind her ear and grabbed her bag.

"Hibiki, my little girl. So beautiful inside and out! Moving isn't always fun but remember when we first came here? We made as much fun of it as we could. You can do this!" A lady who looked not too much older than the girl, but was significantly enough older than the teen, looked lovingly into Hibiki's eyes.

Hibiki looked like the spitting image of her mother which was most definitely a compliment. They both had a beautifully dark complexion that comes from being in the mountainous area of Japan.

Hibiki and her mother are from Japan but currently live in America. Hibiki's mother's job brought her all the way overseas and Hibiki insisted on going with her. She not only wanted to see another place and learn new things but she also didn't want her mother to be lonely. Little 8-year-old Hibiki had so much love, grace, and energy to share with people and she did so throughout many years. She told so many stories without speaking a word.

Looking back at the place she called home for years, the building that was her safe place, the place where so much had changed, the place she was now leaving, she closed the door behind her, not sure of what to do next.

"Give me that thing that I love (I'll turn the lights out)
Put your hands up, make 'em touch, Touch (Make it real loud)
Give me that thing that I love (I'll turn the lights out)
Put your hands up, make 'em touch, Touch (Make it real loud)
*pop* *cheers* *slice pop slice*
Make it real loud
Put your hands up, make 'em touch, touch... touch... touch..."

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" Screams louder than the music echo in the building, shadows scurrying across the walls.

*Waaaaaahhhhhhh Waaaaaahhhhhhh Waaaaaahhhhhh*

People running across aisles and out of the door. So much pushing. So much crashing.

Mom!? Mom??! Screaming in her head, Hibiki looked frantically at the audience. Fear coursing through her body she couldn't move. Frozen where she stood, barely able to balance at the moment.

"Hibiki! Let's go! Get out of there!!" Mother shouted. But she couldn't move. The ceiling was falling. It fell all around her. Orange was all around her. She couldn't scream. No sound. The ground gave way under her and she fell into water... 'Can't breathe...'

Eyes shooting open, Hibiki looked around and saw calm people seated across from her. Some were running, some were walking, most with suitcases.

*"Flight 247 to New York - Boarding now at terminal F"*

Hibiki sat up and rubbed her eyes. I thought I had gotten over that... Months without a nightmare 6 to 0... a new record! Woo!... She thought sarcastically to herself. She sat up and stretched as her mom walked up to her.

"Here is your ticket. Hibiki... don't look like that. Everything will be alright. And don't worry, I've already set up an apartment for you to stay at and you're enrolled in a school. It's a new beginning, a fresh start. And when you feel comfortable with it, go see your dad and brother. You've been here for so long and haven't seen them in years. I understand and so does your dad. Take your time. You've got this." Her mother said with some kindness and concern. Her eyes and words were unwavering. She believes in Hibiki. Now, if only Hibiki could feel the same way about herself, maybe she would be able to go back to doing the thing she loved the most. If only.
