chapter 4

Right in front of me was Neo. I couldn't believe it. After all the time she was there. And with Torchwick. After all the time we were together. After I made plans to find her again at Beacon. Here she was.

I just stood there and watched her.

I turned to see one of the members of the gang noticed me. I turned around to leave as he raised his gun at me. I used my winter blast to freeze his hands in place as I left.

After bailing on the robbery I was originally planning to stop, I returned back to Raven to continue combat training.

Unfortunately it just hasn't been going well.

After trying to freeze and smash a tree, I just gave up and dropped my weapon.

"I'm gonna leave training early and go fight some grimm" I said to Raven as I turned to walk away to go into the forest. She reached her hand to my shoulder, but stopped for a second and put her arm back down.

Raven POV

Watching him leave wasn't fun. Normally I'd be more insistent on him sticking to his training, but I knew he needed the time to himself.

I knew he got caught up in some sort of robbery or something. I had no idea what actually happened, but it was clearly weighing on his mind.

Just like the time at Beacon.

After what he'd been through, he needed someone to help him. As much as I want to do that, I have no idea where to start.

Y/n POV

I sat down on a rock and thought about everything. I couldn't believe I saw her. And then I just left.

I looked at a nearby framed picture I. The picture I took of me and Neo as kids.

After all this time. After so long wanting to reunite with her. And I just ran away. What's wrong with me?

But, well, reuniting with Coco wasn't as happy as I had thought. What if Neo turns out the same?

What do I do?

Third POV

Meanwhile in Vale, Torchwick and the white Fang were dealing with the follow up of another robbery.

"So what happened in the middle of our operation?" Torchwick asked. He wasn't happy about whatever got in the way.

"Well, someone came in and froze one of our members" one of the members of the group replied.

Neo quickly turned to the duo. The comment about freezing quickly got her attention. She began wondering...

"Whatever. I guess we'll have to track him down" Torchwick groaned. But to his surprise, Neo quickly raised her hand like kid in school.

Before he could respond, Cinder approached.

"Well, since you have a volunteer, you should have someone that can track this interference" she told them.

"How long have you-" Torchwick began to ask, but Cinder interrupted him.

"Long enough" she answered.

"And I also need Neo for another task whenever she's off from tracking our attacker"

Neo nodded. Ready to do anything Cinder would ask of her.
