Chapter 6

Neo POV

I finally managed to find something on Y/n. Once I made it to his Beacon dorm room, I couldn't believe what I found.

Walking into the room, I found a bunch of debris as it looked like part of the room was damaged. It didn't look like the whole place was destroyed or like there was a fight in here. But it definitely didn't look good either.

Looking around I ended up finding his scroll. I looked at it and saw that it was cracked. Though it was hard I recognized his face on the home screen. Everything else was either password protected or damaged. But it should be easy for me to get anything out of it.

I picked it up and left with it.

I still don't know what to do once I find him. I don't know if he'll accept who I've become. But I'll worry about it after. I'm worried about him.

I got a text from Cinder.

Cinder- I have what you need

I made my way back to her location.

Third POV

Y/n was walking through the town in Vale thinking about the job he was about to take.

There was a man that wanted to get a promotion at work and the person he was competing against was going to sabotage him. He wanted someone to get the opponent out of the way.

Y/n considered it childish to even hire a hitman over something like that, but Y/n needed money and he tried the morally righteous option by attending Beacon and he was never going to allow it to happen again.

He was only going to need his sword for it. Then hopefully he could get a better one.

'You're finally getting it' Y/n heard. He turned and looked around to find no one there.

"who keeps talking to me?" He asked.

'The truth You're lying to yourself about' he heard. 'What you've been denying. You're not like these people.  You're above them.  And the sooneryou realize it the sooner you'll no longer be a punching bag'

Y/n couldn't think about it. He knew that whatever he was hearing in his head was right. At least partially. He was done being a doormat.

Timeskip

Following the success of the job Y/n finally got the parts for some new weapons.

While he was out around Vale again he was thinking about how things had gone.

Before he could think too much he got pushed by some force from behind.

"Who- what is this?" he asked as he tried to push away whoever was attacking him.

After trying to escape he realized the arms grabbing him weren't violent. He finally escaped the person's grip to see a long time friend had been hugging him.

"Neo?" he asked as they made eye contact.
