Jia's POV:

Autumn had arrived. Yet it had already gotten so chilly. I tightened my coat around me as I shivered while I waited for my coffee.

"It's so weird, autumn has never been this cold," Seokmin whispered. I nodded. "Right? It feels like it's January. It's literally only November!"

We were so grateful when our warm coffee was finally served to us.

"When does your practice start?" I asked him.

"I have to reach by 8:30," he replied, and I checked the time. It was 8.

"I'll drop you off," I said.

"No, I can just take the bus-"

"You're definitely not taking a bus ride in this freezing weather all the way to Pledis, are you? I'll drop you there. I have practice too, anyways."

"Fine."

Seokmin had gotten into Pledis, after auditioning for so many companies.

And me? I'm still completing my homework from 2 years ago.

Just kidding.

I got scouted by Pledis, as well. The person who had scouted me had said that they had known my trainer, and that's how they got to find me.

I was preparing to debut as a solo, while Seokmin's group had debuted about two years ago. I didn't know the other members yet, nor had I ever seen them, except for Seungkwan. I had only listen to their albums so far. Pledis hadn't been easy on me all these years. Even sitting here drinking coffee with Seokmin flet like a luxury.

Seokmin and I bid each other our goodbyes as I entered the recording room. I greeted my producer, and we began discussing the changes we could on the album.

My debut was just a week away. Seokmin's group, seventeen, had their comeback a day before my debut.

I took a deep breath, warming up my voice, as I began singing.

It was the night before I would be revealed to the world. I was laying down on my bed and scrolling aimlessly on my phone, before I received a text from Seokmin.

Seokmin: Best of luck for tomorrow! Don't be nervous, because you're gonna ace it as always ^^ Make sure you get lots of sleep! And do listen to our album <3

I softly laughed and texted him back.

Me: You too, Seokmin! And thank you.

I'll go listen to it right now! Hehe, goodnight!! <3

I opened my music app and put on the album. All of the tracks were really good, but one of them stuck out to me the most. The title was "지금 널 찾아가고 있어" (Run to You)

My shoulders slumped and I wiped my face. Of course it's not him...what was I thinking? I mentally slapped myself. 'Come to your senses, Moon Jia.' I thought to myself. 'It's just a coincidence. It can't be him.'

Even if it was him, would it make a difference? Was I honestly hoping to see his name there? Would it change the fact that he had completely forgotten me, ghosted me, and left without a word?

But why? Why? Why did it feel like...as if that song was...made for me?
