Wallflower
(n.) A shy, awkward or introverted person.A week passed by and I haven't gone to college. I locked myself in my apartment after Ah-young dropped me off.
Being used to side eyes and shushed whispers behind my back I was expecting her to judge the hell out of me living in a run down neighborhood like those other rich kids but she didn't, she only seemed concerned. I was still trying to process seeing a body covered in blood .
There were many calls from her for the next two three days until my phone ran out of battery. Not to forget the electricity of my apartment being cut off.
I was sitting in the dark.
It was today morning that I decided to clean up all the mess I have made and fix this electricity problem.
I need money and probably a new job.
Whatever money I had in my bank account was used this whole week on food. I barely get anything to save with my meagre earnings.
Walking to my part-time job in college library. I was still not over what happened at the warehouse. I couldn't push everything in back of my head, the question who of did that kept me awake at night.
I was continuously checking news for any follow up after charging my phone in nearby store but there was no information about anything happening back at the warehouse. It was not even reported.
" How are you feeling?" Mrs. Kang asked with a concerned look.
I called in sick a week ago so that I can take few days off but Mrs. Kang was kind enough to give me a whole week off, telling me I need to rest and take care of my health.
" I am feeling better after resting " i gave her a soft smile. After talking to her about random topics I went back to work.
" You didn't pick up my calls, are you okay!? "
Turning around I was met with Ah-young. Her long hair were down her shoulders with a big canvas in her one hand. Her hands were covered in paint and few spots of paint were also there on dress she was wearing. She must be coming after her classes.
