Y/N POV "Finally" I whispered to myself and started to walk hurriedly towards an empty table. I had been looking for a place to sit for the past twenty minutes.
USC was a huge college and had a lot of students and one would think that they would provide more seating areas for them. I had almost made it to the table.
It was the perfect combination of away from people but it wasn't secluded. I stopped dead on my tracks when someone threw their bag onto the table.
A group of friends started to sit around the table while I was left standing with a book clutched in my hand and my laptop adding weight to my bag.
One of the girls glanced towards me and I immediately looked away. I didn't want to seem like some creep staring at them. I started to walk away in search for a new spot.
I glanced at a lecture theatre that was empty and decided to walk into. It was quiet, dark and no one would come here to steal my seat.
I looked around and smiled at the number of empty chairs. I walked up to the end and sat down. I placed my legs on the seat in front of me and opened up my book.
I barely got two minutes of silence before I heard a noise from the backroom. In every lecture hall there is a back room where the projector is placed.
I heard some movement and then strangely, I heard the strumming of a guitar. I started to really enjoy the music and decided not to say anything to whoever was there.
I continued to read my book as the mysterious music played from the back. The song that was being played came to an end and there was silence again but barely for a couple of seconds.
"You know a thank you would be nice" I heard a guy's voice from the back. I froze in my spot and refused to turn around. "I know you're not deaf. You were swaying to my music" He said.
