<Rengoku's POV>

After I explained to the other Hashira and Master what happened. The room went dead silent.

"This is a very interesting situation." The Master spoke softly. I felt so ashamed.

"So, you let not just 1 upper moon slip, but 2. Who the HELL DID YOU NOT PICK THEM UP!?" The hot-headed Snake Hashira scolded.

"Gentle. If this Lower Moon 6 and Upper Moons are the way Rengoku has started, then we must treat them with the utmost importance. However, if these Upper Moons are simply children then it makes them even more unpredictable. It's risky but, I'm sending in a few of you to assess the situation. But I don't want you to get into conflict with this Guardian. We don't know just how powerful she actually is. Is that understood?" The Master's words were oddly firm but still very soft and delicate.

"YES, MASTER!" We all called to accept his orders.

"Rengoku." The call of my scared me. It took every fiber in me, to not shudder.

"I think you should go with them since this Lower Moon appears to have a strong moral compass, and won't attack unless needed to. Especially, since she protected a young child. So having you there may keep her calm.
Also,
You need to work on your demon detection."

"Understood Master..." I bowed my head in slite shame at the situation.

*Time skip!!*

"KOKUSHIBOU! WHAT'S IN YOUR HAND!?" You yelled at the boy running past you as you carried half of a pig.

"A knife!" The boy called back and almost proudly held up 1 of your butcher knives.

"NO!!!!!" You screamed as you throw the half-a-pig on the shop counter and bolted after the small samurai.

The sweet old woman on the other side of the counter (that you've known since childhood) burst out laughing.
"Oh my! They are quite the handful,   (Y/n)!" She laughs as you walk back into the room with a pouting Kokushibou under your arm. Putting the knife back on the knife rack where it belongs.
"Yeah, sorry about that Granny. You asked for the pig's belly, right?" You asked as you put Kokushibou down; letting him run off play wrestling with Akaza.

The woman wasn't actually your grandmother, but you've known her for so long that she was very much a grandmother to you.

Her warm wrinkled face smiled at the children around you, her purse still in her hand ready to pay.

Douma hiding behind your leg, Akaza and Kokushibou playing, Muzan and Nakime reading a book with a bunch of meat recipes, Rui and Enmu tied to you, and Daki chasing Hantengu (the fearful demon you forgot existed because you just found him hiding in a wardrobe) with a fish in her hand, and Gyutaro chasing after Daki.

She watched them almost with nostalgia.
"I'm so proud that you gave these oddballs a loving home. They all deserve it."

Her comment catches you off guard. You look surprised and she just smiled at you.

All of a sudden Akaza bolted past you into the back room. You look at Kokushibou and he just shrugged his shoulders.
"Ah, my purse!" The elder yelled in shock.

"AKAZA!" You chase after the small boy into the back room. You manage to catch him and trap him in your legs and hold his arms up.

"WHY DID YOU STEAL FROM HER!?"

"I NEED FOR MY DAD'S MEDICINE!"

You froze at his words.
'That's why he has theaf strips...'

"You don't need to steal anymore." You spoke softly, Akaza's big yellow eyes looked at you confused. Lifting him up, you sit down and place him on your lap.

"You don't need to steal for his medicine anymore."

"What do you mean?"

"He's being looked after. He's being helped."
You don't know what Akaza's past is but you do your best to calm him.

"He is?" The small boy asked.

"Yes. That's why you are with me. So I can take care of you while he's getting better."
