(Chapter 7)

Akaza walked out the back room with his head hanging low. He stop in front of the elderly human and held up her purse.
"I'm very sorry for stealing you purse Ma'am. I didn't know my father is getting better." His voice showed how much he hated himself for stealing.

"No it's alright dear! Just don't it ever again." The elder pat his head, as she took back her purse.

Akaza bowed to the woman and went back to Kokushibou. The Upper Rank really looked like an older brother to him.

You were just mostly thankful that Kokushibou's hair was covering his 6 eyes. You'd hate for people to start attacking the demon children because of their looks. Even though they are the most dangerous beings in the world - their harmless right now. This fact is why Gyokko isn't in the room. You did your best to explain to the children and they seemed to understand it quite well. Gyokko didn't to upset about it either.

As you finish serving your grandmother, you made sure to check on Gyokko as soon as she left. As soon as you the first thing you noticed was the fact that everything was organized and clean!

"Look! Do you like it! Do you like it!"

"Ara ara! Of course I do! Thank you so much Gyokko! And I'm sorry you have to stay back here all day..."
You pat the miniature vase demon on the head as you apologised.

"It's ok! It's fun making things pretty!"

"That's good and thank you for keeping things so pretty!" You thanked him as you go back to the front room only to hear.

"Rengoku-senpei!!"
The sound of an exited Akaza and Douma shot you in the head.

"Hello you 2!!" The booming voice of the blonde shock the shop. As he lifted the 2 baby demons into a hug.

You didn't mind Rengoku even if you had to fight him. Even though, you don't have good enough strength to go against him; you do have enough experience and skill to take him out if need be.

BUT what you do mind is the fact that he has 3 other Hashira with him.

A man with long black-hair and a mismatch haori, a white-haired man with a bunch of scars, and a tall white-haired man with a gem head band and 2 GIANT SWORDS ON HIS BACK. At least try and not give me a reason to attack you; Rengoku and the other 2 at least hid their swords.

"Hello again Miss!" Rengoku's friendly smile was contagious, so you smile back at him.

"What could I do for you, Rengoku-San?" You greet the blonde; as you did so, you put 1 arm around Rui, as he was on your front, protctively.

"I'm sorry for the sudden stop by, but we'd like to ask you some questions." The firy-blonde asked.

"Of course, what do you need?"

"Well-"

*SLAM!*

Rengoku was immediately cut off, almost literally, by a knife flying past his face. Your neck almost broke at how fast your head moved to look at the culprit.

There standing was Kokushibou, Muzan, Nakime, Daki, Gyutaro, and Hantengu standing in a group. Kokushibou, Muzan and Gyutaro just straight up glaring at Rengoku.

"Don't you dare flirt with them." Kokushibou's young voice was not as interesting as his fully grown one.

"Koku! What did I tell you about playing with knives!" Your voice scolded the boy, but it didn't stop the 3 demons boys glaring at Rengoku.

"W-well, do you remember the women you almost got into a fight with last night?" Rengoku put Douma and Akaza down as he asked you.
But before you could answer him, the little cute Rui pointed him finger at the 2 white-haired Hashira behind Rengoku and went, "Ah! Ah!" As if trying to talk.

"Yes, they do have white hair like you, sweetie!" You pat Rui's head as you give a closed eye smile at the to men. Which seemed to startle them.

You look back at Rengoku and answer him, "Unfortunately, it's hard to forget such a terrible mother, but yes. I do remember her. Why?"

"Well, she was found murdered in her hotel room." Rengoku lightly explained.

You pretended to be shocked, "I knew people would hate her, but Jeez." Your words sound remorseful, however, not a single drop was felt.
"Would it be wrong if I ask how?"

"Well... she wasn't actually dead when she was found. She died in the 12 surgery that was trying to save her life. The doctors were horrified by how horrific her injuries were..." Rengoku explained in as little detail as possible, trying not to scare the 2 babies on you.

"Oh I see, it must have been horrific for it to be a 12 hour surgery... but is the boy at least safe. I did leave him with the police so, is the boy with his father?" Your gentle words about the young boy seemed to sweep away any trace of the mother's murder in the atmosphere.
"Yes, the young boy is safe. Apparently, the father was divorcing his wife and she tried to seal the child. So he's safe and sound back home now." Rengoku's proud and bright smile shines as he deliver the good news. But the other Hashira stayed quite.

"That's wonderful to hear. That lifts a heavy weight."

"Indeed! Now-"

*SLAM!*

Rengoku was cut off again by another knife flying past his face. Your neck snapped towards the group of kids, instead Kokushibou throwing the knife - it was Gyutaro this time.

You see the out of the corner of your eye, you could see that the other Hashira behind Rengoku begin to tensen even move than what should be possible.

"For give me Rengoku, but could it be better if you came in tomorrow?" You gave Rengoku a certain look, the look a teach would get after telling a child's parent that they were misbehaving. The look that sends them into a different room.

Small beads of sweat ran down Rengoku's neck at your sharp gaze.

"O-of course! Sorry for any inconvenience." Rengoku and the other Hashira bowed, and walked out the door. As you turned the closed sign you saw the tall white-haired man with the a gem headband looking very briefly at you before turning his head again.

<Rengoku's POV>

"It makes sense why you couldn't sense the fact that she was a demon. She hind it so well." Sanami spoke walking beside me.

"She could also sense that we were getting tense. Normally, demons break character at that point, but she stayed so calm." Tengen spoke tilting his head to look behind us. "Even kids seemed pretty human."
