Connor was done. He couldn't handle all the stares and whispers anymore. He just wanted to get away from Chicago. Far away from all the disappointments and the deep sadness he felt when he walked into the hospital. When he got the offer from his old friend Neil to come to St. Bonaventure, he accepted it immediately. He was sure he would miss everyone in Chicago, but he had to think about his mental health.

After that, everything happened quickly. Neil arranged an apartment for him and after a month Connor was standing in front of his new home. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. He was very excited and a little nervous. He knew his problems would not disappear at St. Bonaventure, but at that moment his heart felt so light and carefree. Connor picked up a box and went up to the second floor. He opened his apartment door and put the box in the corner of the living room. Neil was supposed to help him move in but he had an emergency surgery.

Someone: Hello.

Connor turned around and saw a man who had to be about his age. He had tanned skin and curly black hair. He looked very friendly.

The man: You must be Dr. Rhodes. My name is Zayn Haywood. Welcome to the neighborhood.

C: Nice to meet you. You can call me Connor.

Z: Do you need help moving in?

C: That would be great. Thank you.

Zayn was very nice and told Connor a lot about the neighborhood. Zayn lives with his wife Rachel. He has a small bar next to the hospital and Connor had promised him to stop by. In the evening Connor set up all his things. He was very tired so he went to bed.

The next day:

Sarah, Claire, and Morgan sat together at lunch. Claire was reading an article.

S: I've tried everything but her father won't let me talk to her. I really don't know what else I can do.

S: Morgan? Are you even listening to me?

Morgan looked dreamily past Sarah.

S: Morgan? What are you looking at?

M: The new doctor everyone's talking about. He's really handsome.

S: What new doctor? And you haven't even seen him yet, how do you know he's good looking?

Morgan looked at Sarah with amusement.

M: You live under a rock Sarah and all the nurses have been raving about him all day.

M: Omg he turned around. Look Sarah.

Sarah rolled her eyes.

M: Come on Sarah. Look!

S: I don't care about the new doctor Morgan. Just help me find a solution, please.

M: You're such a buzzkill.

S: And you love me for it.

M: You wish.

M: What's going on with you Claire? You've been so pleasantly quiet all day.

C: Everything is fine, don't worry.

S: Wow, you are definitely not fine if you don't respond to Morgan's teasing.

S: Is it because of Neil?

Claire did not answer.

M: Of course it's because of him. What's going on with you two anyway? You were inseparable a month ago and now you can't even be in the same room.

C: I don't want to talk about it.

S: That's okay. But we just want you to know we're here for you.

C: Thank you. I have to go now, I'll see you guys later okay?

S: Okay see you soon.

M:Bye.

M: She needs to talk to someone about this.

S: I know but she has to realize that herself. I have to go now too.

M: I still have enough time to help you. If you want.

S: Thank you. That would be great.

Quite quickly, Sarah and Morgan had finally managed to convince the father. Morgan was very convincing and Sarah was finally able to give the girl the help she needed. Morgan was waiting for her outside the patient room when she saw Dr. Rhodes. He didn't look stressed so she walked up to him.

M: Hello. I'm Dr. Morgan Reznick. Nice to meet you.

Connor was a bit surprised.

C: Nice to meet you too. I'm Dr. Connor Rhodes.

M: That's what I thought. So Dr. Rhodes...

C: You can call me Connor.

M: Okay Connor. I know this is very unexpected but do you maybe want to go to the Haywood Bar tonight? Neil and a few other doctors are coming too. We often do that after work.

C: That's very nice of you. Sure, I'd love to.

M: Great. Do you know where the bar is?

C: Yes. I actually know the owner Zayn.

M: That's convenient, see you then.

C: Yes, see you.

Morgan went back to Sarah. She wanted to introduce her to Dr. Rhodes.

M: Sarah, I have to introduce you to the new doctor, come with me.

She pulled Sarah along, but Dr. Rhodes was no longer there.

M: He was just here. Nerver mind, I'll just introduce him to you tonight.

S: If it makes you happy you can do that.

M: Yes I will. I have to go now. The break is almost over. See you tonight.

S: Yes, see you later.
