The one with the sex

It was their fifth month anniversary.

The two had spent the day at a small gig on a boat, listening to good music and drinking cold beers until the sun went down. One wouldn't automatically think that it was a brilliantly romantic destination but when they were there, together, it felt special.

They had reached that pinnacle in any relationship when all seems perfect. Ed loved Shai and Shai loved Ed, both unconditionally accepting of one another and their numerous faults. Shai had learnt early on that Ed lacked dish washing skills, and could occasionally be openly selfish. Ed had learnt that Shai was often unforgiving of those who considered themselves below standard. Both knew their own faults and accepted each other's- though Shia still pushed Ed toward the sink occasionally-

And now they were at Ed's flat.

Shai was sitting on Ed's lap with her arms around his neck and their lips connected in a feverish kiss. His hands rested beneath her jumper on her stomach and spanned out against her skin, filling her body with unimaginable heat

Shai was nervous. She knew what was coming and she wanted it more and more every day. However, sex was scary, like majorly scary. Shai was terrified. But, she loved him. And he loved her. People who loved each other would always do this, so Shai wanted it. Wanted Ed.

Her hands fumbled for the bottom of his shirt and yanked it up forcefully. Ed paused mid kiss and pulled back from Shai, his eyes searching her face quickly. "Are you sure?" he asked, the fingers on her stomach frozen.

She nodded and traced his jaw with her index finger lovingly "Yes. Love me, Ed, in every possible way."

And he did.
