An: I will admit that I forgot about this story completely bc I haven't been on wattpad lately. (I'm a chronic tumblr user, sorry) And I know that this chapter is kinda short, especially bc of how long you guys have had to wait for a new update (sorry again) but I really needed to get something published even if it wasn't a lot. This one really highlights the grieving process that Yn is going through rn. (also just to put this out there I know that this isn't the only way people grieve, it's just how I experience it. Sometimes you can be doing better and a memory hits you out of nowhere and now you're crying.) I'll try to be more active on here and i know I say that and then disappear for like a year but I get really busy. (School, work, Homework, After school clubs, my bday is coming up, family stuff) Regardless I have been VERY inactive and that's unfair to you guys. Please enjoy the short chapter and sorry for the long ass author's note.

YN POV

Waking up from my sleep, I sit up in my bed and stretch my arms above my head until I hear the relieving pops that my spine creates. I look over at Cn on my bed next to me asleep and decide that I should probably get up.
I get out of bed and head into the kitchen to make some breakfast when my phone rings. I look at the caller ID to see Principal Nezu's contact pop up.

"Hello?"

"Hello Yn, I apologize for calling you so early in the morning. I wanted to ask if you could possibly stop by UA and help out with some of the security improvements we will be making. You can refuse of course. I do realize how terribly rude it is for me to ask this of you in your time of mourning."

"That's alright... I can swing by in about an hour. Are there going to be classes today?"

"No, classes have been canceled for the day because of the attack yesterday. We thought it best to give them a day to recuperate from the stressful events of yesterday's USJ incident."

"Right."

"When you get here we'll have you assist power loader with the plans. You will of course be compensated for your time."

"Sounds good, I'll be there soon."

I waited until he hung up to sigh and pinch the bridge of my nose. "Well I guess I better get ready..." I resumed my task of making an omelette. Humming to myself while I cooked, I felt a wave of nostalgia wash over me and I froze.

3rd person POV

Mn hummed to herself as she flipped another omelette in a pan. She smiled to herself, satisfied with the way it looked, and set it on a plate. She turned off the stove and brought the plates over to the table where her small son was bouncing in his chair.

"Yay omelettes!" Yn exclaimed, happy that they were going to be eating something so tasty. Mn smiled at her son and set a plate down in front of him. She kissed the top of his head and went to sit in her seat across from him. "Be careful, it's still a little hot." "Okay"
She started to cut into her omelette and watched Yn do the same. They both blew on their food to help it cool down and took a bite.

Then they both started to smile and talk about how much of a great day they were going to have. "Can we go to the park today mama?" "Of course we can."

Yn's POV

I snapped out of it when I smelled my omelette burning and immediately reacted. "Shit shit shit" I turned off the oven and started wafting the air in the kitchen with a towel, trying to keep the smoke alarm from going off. I dump the smoldering lump of egg and cheese into the trash and set the pan in the sink. I sat down at the table and sighed. "Dammit, why'd you have to die?" I squeezed the palms of my hands to my eyes, trying not to cry. I let a few tears slip before I felt a paw nudge my leg. Cn had curled their tail around my leg and was pawing at me to get my attention. I wiped my eyes and picked Cn up and set them on my lap. Cn purred and nuzzled their head against my chest while I stroked their fur. I sniffled a bit and continued petting Cn. "Thank you Cn, you're too good to me..." I kissed Cn on their head and hugged them while they purred happily. I glanced at the time on my phone while I held Cn and just decided not to go.

I messaged Nezu to tell him that I had changed my mind and was going to stay at home today but would be happy to assist tomorrow. He responded with an 'I understand' and I slid my phone into my pocket. I picked Cn up off my lap and held them against my chest as I walked back to my bedroom. I laid them down on the bed and got under the covers. I held up the edge and they slid under to curl up against me. I yawned and closed my eyes, holding Cn and snuggling further under the covers on my bed.
