I'm awoken when the covers are pulled off of me and I instantly groan."Get up, lazy ass." Nicks familiar voice sinks in my brain.
"Fuck off, douchebag." I hold up the middle finger and then grab my blankets and pull them over me again.
"If you don't get out of this fucking bed I'll tell Mom and Dad you-"
"You don't have anything on me." I whine and cover my ears to keep from hearing him.
"If you really want to get skinny then get up off your ass and get dressed. I'll be waiting outside."
I groan and throw my pillow at him as he exits my room.
15 minutes later I jog down the stairs and meet my brother outside the house. I'm dressed in an oversized shirt and some nice sweatpants. My hair is up in a messy bun and I'm holding my phone with headphones and a water bottle.
He eyes me up and down. "Austin is meeting us at the gym."
"Nick! I don't want your friends seeing me like this."
"Will you relax. It's not like he hasn't seen you worse before."
Rude.
I walk over to his car but he stops me, grabbing my wrist and leading me to the road. "We're running there."
"That's 10 miles."
"Well then we better hurry." He grins and starts jogging on the sidewalk. I huff and sprint, trying to catch up with him.
An hour later we have made it to the gym, out of breath I might add.
Why couldn't we just have drove to the gym? Why did we have to run? TEN MILES. He's really pushing me.
"Wow, you're out of shape." Nick laughs whilst holding open the door for me.
I'm greeted with the smell of sweat and blood. Well, just sweat.
"Hazel?" I turn around towards the door as a response to my name being called. Austin. I haven't seen him in two years and boy, did he get fucking hot. "I haven't seen you in forever!"
It's only been two years dumb ass.
"Austin, h-hey." Shit, I stuttered.
Nick looks between the two of us and then drops whatever he's thinking and speaks. "Hazel here wants to start working out. I called you down so you could help get her in shape."
"Yeah, sure. I'll help. Damn, have you gotten taller?" Austin walks past Nick and gestures for me to start walking with him towards the stairs. I guess the workout room is upstairs.
"It has been two years. I'm sixteen now."
"Wow, sixteen...." He stares at me like I'm- like I'm pretty or something. I stare back at him, trying to figure out what he's thinking.
"So, that workout..." Nick says behind us, causing the two of us to snap out of the trance we were just in.
"Right." I say whilst still looking up at him as we walk up the stairs together, Nick only a few steps behind.
A few hours later it's now 12 pm and Nick says I'm done for the day. Austin offered us a ride back to our place but Nick gladly declined and said we could walk.
Instead my brother took me to lunch across the street as Austin drove off.
So now we sit at an outside table waiting for our food to arrive.
