Jimin was tired as hell. The guy in the dorm room next door had a canny habit of composing music until the wee hours of the morning. He probably carried on longer but Jimin had usually passed out from exhaustion by then. Besides, he wasn't in any position to complain.

It was bad enough he was like the smartest person on campus but it was even worse considering he was a few years younger than everyone. Most kids want to be smart but Jimin loathed it. It meant that he was constantly made fun of, it really didn't help that he was chubby and wore glasses like the stereotypical nerd.

His smarts meant that he had basically skipped high school and went straight to university. The people from his classes were nice at first but when they found out his age they avoided him like the plague. It didn't help that he was on a goddamn scholarship programme, otherwise he would have just carried on through the schooling system like any normal kid.

His family wasn't the most financially stable, so it would be selfish of him to waste this opportunity. Besides, this just meant that he could start working a few years earlier and that would really help his parents keep afloat.

He knew that it would be damn ungrateful of him to complain about the guy next door, especially when he was the only one who was pleasant with him. It was usually a nod of greeting but it was more acknowledgement than he got from anyone else.

Jimin lay in his bed contemplating his life decisions yet again. He raised his hand to cover the hundredth yawn of that night, when he noticed something peculiar. Written on his hand was what appeared to be three names in black.

He panicked for a split second as it looked like something akin to a tattoo. However he calmed down once he realised that it was the soulmate phenomenon that he had read about once. He was intrigued as he remembered that it was usually just one name. His mind was excited at the new challenge, it seemed like it was time for Jimin to attempt to solve a new puzzle.

That night sleep came easily to him, for once the guy's relentlessness didn't faze him. Let's just say that when Jimin woke up the next morning he was pleasantly surprised by how much sleep he had managed to get. However it quickly turned to the other kind once he realised that he had six goddamn names engraved into his skin.

His mother was going to kill him when she saw the names that were permanently etched on his wrists. Jimin could only hope that she gave him a quick, painless death when she visited next week.
