"What the heck is with the bill?"
Kazuha shrugged. "Hospitals are expensive."
I internally sobbed at the large sum of money I had to pay for the 4 day treatment and stay in the hospital. Now, to work hard for another 2 months to get back the money.
[Unknown number is calling...]
[Accept] [Decline]
My phone vibrated and I looked on the screen. I don't accept unknown numbers unless I'm awaiting a call from someone and I'm pretty sure I'm not expecting a call from anyone that isn't already in my contacts. Declining, I ran to catch up with Kazuha, who was already at the car.

"Y/N, why don't you just get a lawyer to help you sort out the problem?" Aether asked, taking a bite out of a popsicle he took out of the freezer.
"I don't have a lawyer, don't need one, don't care. I have a faint idea on what this whole thing might be about anyways."
I watched as Kazuha and Aether suddenly perked up. They both looked at me seriously.
"Why... are you guys looking at me like that...?"
Kazuha sighed, facepalming his forehead. Aether looked back at me disappointedly while taking another bite out of the popsicle. "What else would we be so serious about after what you just said, Y/N?"
"Oh." I ran up to my room and came back down with a shoe box. The two boys looked at me confused as I took off the lid. Inside were a bunch of letters and other papers.
"This doesn't help, you know?" Kazuha replied, slightly annoyed.
"Come on now. I just opened the box." I laughed, taking out the papers and spreading them out onto the table. "I confirmed part of this recently, but my father had already been a criminal before the recent arrest. He was closely related to the Fatui."
Aether and Kazuha began picking up the papers and taking a look at them. All the papers I had collected were one of the things I brought with me the day I went to get my stuff and dad was arrested. The papers and letters were some of the evidence that showed his relationship with the Fatui. It was the cause of mother and father's constant fighting.
I took out a notebook from the bottom of the shoe box and opened it to a certain page. Although, I have never crossed paths with the Fatui until Childe, somehow my father got me roped into the entire mess. The page read:
I made a grave mistake. I don't know where to start... Today, I met up with him to give the money I owed. He took the money but did not look satisfied. I took the courage to ask him what was wrong... he said he needed more than just money. He asked me if Carla was truly pregnant and I nodded, confused on why he needed to know. Then... he told me that I... I'm sorry I cannot continue, it is too hard for me to say.
he told me to hand over my child when he is born.
"Do you think this means you, Y/N?" Aether asked.
I shook my head. This couldn't be me. After all it clearly states that the baby is a boy and this entry was written almost 10 years before I was born. Kazuha took the notebook from Aether and flipped to the last entry.
He's dead, but why must it be him who takes over? What did they do to my poor boy?
My family is in danger. He is no longer my son. I gave him up for the sake of my wife and future children. Xeno is after my daughter. I must protect them, before I am found out.
Xeno... I recognize that name. Xingqiu and Hu Tao wouldn't stop teasing me with baby names and Xeno was one of those. I remember that it mean "stranger" or "guest" something that has to do with foreign or strange. From my father's words... Xeno is the name of my older brother.
Aether suddenly snapped his fingers. "I remember now! When I was traveling with Dain for a bit, I remember coming across Xeno once. He is a high ranking member of the Fatui, but a secretive one. If you asked someone about him, nobody would know. There are even rumors that say he is able to bribe any of the harbingers to do as he pleases."
I've never looked through this box very much, all I had known was that it had something to do with my father and the Fatui. My head hurt from all this new info.
"So, I have an older brother named Xeno, that my father willingly gave up to the Fatui and now he's after me? That's stupid..." I sighed, placing my head onto the table.
"Why don't we call it a day and continue tomorrow?" Kazuha asked, patting my head.
Aether and I agreed and we stopped there.
