Chapter 3

{Emmie's story}
{First person}

I put away my journal and laid in bed thinking of what to do next.  I jolted out of bed as soon as I got a picture in my head, I was going to go to a carnival! I went downstairs and told my brother where I was going then ran out the door and down the stairs towards the lobby doors. When I got to the doors I held them open for a nice couple next door then made my way down the street towards the carnival.

{At the carnival}

I went up to the man at the ticket booth and bought a ticket to enter then went through the gets and looked around. It truly was amazing and I've never seen anything quite like it! As I ran towards some of the rides I spotted a familiar face though I had no idea where I'd seen him. After a minute or two of thinking where I'd met him I spotted a ride that I absolutely loved as a child and headed towards it with the biggest smile on my face. I waited in line for what felt like forever then finally stepped onto the plat form. The ride was called a "magic mount", a ride that you would step onto and sit in a box then you would go far up and spin around while going downwards. It was like a rollercoaster but so much better!

{Third person}

Emmie was preparing herself for the person she would have to sit next to when she saw the boy from earlier sit down next to her. She had no idea he was even in line and suddenly he was right beside her! The operators closed the doors and prepared the ride so it was now going up. Emmie prepared herself for the ride to be a bit scary, as it's been years since she last went on it but to her surprise she wasn't scared at all when it was going down. She was still wondering who the man was as she felt she should know but she just couldn't think of who? That's when it hit her, it was Noah her brothers friends brother! She had no idea if he recognized her but she didn't want to find out as she was a little embarrassed she didn't realize sooner. When the ride came to a halt she arose and so did Noah. They both exited the ride and as they were leaving he said "Good day Emmie" then smiled, she blushed a little since she has had a tiny crush on him since he first came to their house and said hi to her, "Good day to you too, Noah" said Emmie. They both smiled then walked in separate directions.

{At home}

Emmie opened the doors to her apartment then said hello to her mother and father. Her brother was in his room probably sleeping while waiting for his boyfriend to come over. She rushed to her room then watched a bit of tv before going to take a tiny nap.
