we laid down after i ate. she seemed exhausted and i felt bad for making her eat in the living room with me, dream, and george.
kenzie instantly got under the blankets and faced away from me. i sighed and exchanged my hoodie for a tshirt. i then made my way to my bed and laid down next to her, but gave her space.
"kenz," i said quietly.
"hmm" she hummed out in response.
"you okay? did i do something?" i spoke almost scared to hear what she would say.
"no, just having a bad day" kenzie mumbled.
"want to watch the notebook? listen to music? talk about it? sleep? anything?" i questioned just wanting to make her feel better.
she turned towards me smiling. i smiled back. her smile was contagious, how could i not smile? i loved seeing her smile so much.
"i need to tell you something," she said making me give her a look
"go on," i sensed the nerves coming off of her
"never mind it's gonna fuck up our friendship." she deadpanned seeming upset with herself.
"no tell me" i said grabbing her waist as she tried to turn around. "i will tell you my secret if you tell me yours."
"fine," she started looking at the wall behind me then back into my eyes.
without any words she just moved closer towards me. i smirked before she kissed me. i kissed back obviously, why wouldn't i? she then pulled away
"i'm like slightly in love with you," she said getting bold now.
"wanna hear my secret?" she asked thinking i would say something dumb to lighten the mood
"i'm like slightly in love with you too," i said moving of hair behind her ear.
she smiled like an idiot before kissing me again. i pulled her on top of me and she straddled my waist. she pulled away and looked into my eyes with slightly swollen lips
"when did you realize?" she asked me
"when i took you to meet my family," i told her. was that 3 months ago? yes.
"that was so long ago," she said laughing
"when did you realize?" i asked the beautiful girl on top of me
"when we went to dinner on your birthday" she replied
"that was even longer ago!" i laughed and she smiled
"so," she said making me smirk
"so?" i asked
"oh come on now" she said as if she was dream
"you sound like your brother" i said and she rolled her eyes at me.
she went back to making eye contact with me and i pushed a piece of hair out of her face which made a smile appear on her face. i placed my hand on the side of her face and she leaned into my touch.
i couldn't help but smile at this. she was making me go crazy. i rubbed my thumb on her cheek only to feel it warm up and a blush show itself of her face.
"i could stay like this forever. just here, with you." i said making her blush harder and dip her head into my neck to hide it.
i played with her hair instead of holding her face. i felt her smile yet again while i thought.
should i ask her on a date?
where would we even go?
would she want to go out?
would she rather hang out here?
i want to make this perfect, but fuck it.
"hey kenz," i spoke as she brought her head up to look at me
"yes?" she responded
"would you like to go on a little date tomorrow around noon?" i asked and the cutest smile popped up on her face.
"yes yes yes!" she cheered making and flip us around. she suddenly got nervous making me smile.
"dress casual. i will pick you up" i said before kissing her cheek and laying on top of her
