It had been a few days since my father and I left for Tenchi Bridge. The journey was mainly spent in silence as we traveled toward the bridge. The two of us were currently taking a break from walking.
"We rest for a while, and then we will continue towards Tenchi Bridge," Father said, sitting beside me.
"I understand, father," I replied, stretching my arms as I looked up at the beautiful moon shining in the sky."So how are your arms?" I asked, looking at his arms that you couldn't tell were dead from since he switched bodies almost three years ago.
"I still can't really use justu except for striking shadow snake and my summoning shield," He replied."If you mean how they feel, then my arms feel like pins and needles. Kabuto says that a sign of the herb is restoring life back in them."
"It better be finding the location of them took time getting to from the old hideout, and I had almost reached spotted by my old teammates on the way," I muttered.
"You did a good job retrieving it as well," Father said. "I'm grateful for your loyalty even after being upset at first with me for leaving you in the village as a baby."
"I remember the letter mom left me, and she didn't want me to hate you," I stated. "Besides, after thinking about your reason. I decided I had no right to be mad at you for trying to protect me from the Akatsuki you used to work with."
Father gave me a small smile. "Your mother always did care about. Even when I gave her a hard time when she was trying to be my friend, the day we officially talked to each other when she found me on the Hokage faces looking at the stars upset."
"That is how you began a relationship with her?" I asked since I never knew how their relationship started.
"Yeah, we never talked in the academy to her, are really anyone. I mainly kept to myself, especially after my parent's death," He explained.
I nodded my understanding.
"Alright, get some sleep. I'll wake you up when it's time to continue."
"You sure you don't want to rest for a bit since that body is not as great as it used to be. It is almost time to switch soon.
"I'm good, just rest. It will help if you have energy as the backup if anything goes wrong."
"Alright," I said, closing my eyes to get some rest.

After getting two hours of rest, Father and I continued to make our way toward Tenchi Bridge.
"We should be at the bridge when the sun is out," Father told me.
"Alright."
"We will both stay hidden for a bit while Kabuto talks to Sasori, and then I will make my presence known, then you come in when it looks like you are needed."
I nodded my understanding as we continued traveling through the dark grassy woods in silence after discussing the plan until father spoke up again.
"Ssso, what have you been working on in your lab recently?" My father said, drawing out the s like he sometimes does when curious.
"I have been working on a few poison and some other things."
"Really, your ssseem to be in there a lot to jussst be working on sssomething as sssimple as that."
"I can't tell you what the other thing is because then it wouldn't be a surprise. You find out when it's done after all; it is something for you. That's all I will say there."
"A sssuprise for what reassson? My birthday is not for a while, sso what isss it for?"
"I won't say, but it is because I love you and just want it to do something for you."
Father hummed as we continued the rest of the journey in silence.

The sun was now entirely up as we were getting closer to where the bridge was located.
"Come on, just a bit farther up, and we are there," Father told me.
I nodded as we walked a bit farther ahead until we stopped behind a tree. As we stood there, Kabuto had just begun his chat with Sasori.
"You might be needed a bit earlier than planned," Father whispered into my ear."It seems we might have three people on the other side," He said.
I then noticed one of his snakes slithering around as it ate a rabbit.
"Stay here for now, though," He said with his snake fangs as he smiled before walking off towards the bridge.
I got myself prepared to join in as I watched my father appear behind Kabuto as he jumped back, pretending to be about to attack my father. As father snake had taken off in a poof.
'Alright, so far, so good.' I thought as I watched my father and Sasori talk.
I how, ever, wasn't letting my guard down yet since my father detected three other people hidden over on the other side.
'Something is going to go wrong at some moment.' I thought as Kabuto turned around and broke the puppet with his charka scalpel.
I then saw a body jump out as my father attacked them with his snakes, but they turned into a wooden dummy as the guy landed on the bridge holding his arm.
"Wood style?" I questioned, not knowing anyone else who could do wood-style like me.
I narrowed my eyes as I waited to see what would happen next. I felt my eyes widen at what happened next.
Two familiar figures appeared in front of the man.
'No way, Sakura and Naruto.' I thought as I stared at the two familiar faces through the hood of my cloak.
