what if Zero never wanted revenge

NARRATOR POV

When Zero arrived at the island and met Winter things played out the same as they did until Winter confessed to him. Instead of him accepting her feelings but still deciding to go through with his plans he decided to take Winter up on her offer and joined Atlas trying to put aside what his Family had done to him. Atlas learned much from the technology on the island and allowed Zero to keep the armor. From there he began to work as a Specialist usually with Winter and the Ace Ops. He was made Winters bodyguard come the Vytal Festival where he was able to stop the fight between Qrow and Winter. It took everything he had not to kill Qrow then and there then when Ruby and Wiess arrived he said nothing and stood with a silent rage. But he made a promise to both his family and Winter, he was able to compose himself and left with Winter. She realised he wasn't himself and he told her who they were. She wanted to do the same as he but controlled herself. It was all in the past now so they would try to forget. When the Fall of Beacon began Zero was orderd to stay with Ironwood incase such a thing happened. He faught on the school grounds and killed many Grimm and Rouge Atlas forces. When he found Yang and Blake fighting Adam, he stood by and watched as Yangs arm was cut off. Blake begged him to help but he only did after the Arm was gone. He easily beat Adam back and he was forced to flee. Zero then tool them and dumped them off at an evac point. He left to go get more survivors and bring them in. Then when Ruby left, Zero followed. When she used her eyes he contemplated just leaving her there but he took her down and to safety. He went back to Atlas after that and remained there with Winter from 4 to 7 where he and Winter met back up with our group of fuck ups (except Weiss she's the only good character now and their trying to ruin her) Ruby and Yanb tries to thank him for saving them but he ignored them. It was like that for Volume 7 until 8 when he was orderd to find them and bring them in. He faught all of them after the bomb went off killing the whale. At the Schnee Mansion he slowly but capably picked them all off. Until it was just Ruby left. She tried to talk to him but didn't care, all the rage he had was finally being let out. When his gaurd was down Yamg managed to break his helmet with one last punch to the head. When the Helmet broke and fell apart they saw their Brother Ashen. Yang and Ruby were in shock while he was angry. He proceeded to beat both of them further, breaking Yangs other arm and nearly killing Ruby...but Winter arrived. She stopped him from murdering them both. He didn't say a word all he did was fight when needed. Winter betrayed Ironwood and Zero had no problem with it. Winter and Zero faught Ironwood together and beat him. Winter gained Maiden powers and the two left for Vacuo where our story ends for now.
