[Every Criminals Ending.]

Funerals. That's the one thing that no one wants. Nobody wants to be in it looking at their loved ones die. But one day in your entire life you will have to attend one and It could be of anyone you love.

Alex never thought that in her entire life that she'd be standing with an umbrella over her head as the rain poured heavily looking at the one persons body that she had loved her entire life burn into flames.

She just stood there looking at the flames engulf his body without blinking, without talking. Dry tears had stained her cheeks and it looked like she had no tears left.

Andrew walked slowly with an umbrella over his head and stood besides Alex as they watched the body burn. For the first time in Andrew's life he felt bad for a criminal. He had never thought that a day like this would come but here it is.

"You know..." Alex started still looking at the flames. "In my entire life, Christian was the only family I've known after Anthony. And now I have none of them."

She now looked at him. "I've got nothing to live for Andrew. My entire life is done." She brought both her hands forward. "Remember that day you told me that one day I'll surrender to you myself and I told you that dreaming with your eyes open is not good?"

She chuckled humorless. "I guess the saying is right that the dreams you see in the morning comes true. I surrender myself to you Andrew. I accept all the crimes that I have committed."

Andrew looked at her sad and conflicted looking at her hands that were ready to be handcuffed.

20th September 2020, 10 days after the death of the most wanted criminal, Christian. The date that was given for the proceedings for the trial of Alex.

Alex stood in the gallery of the accused. Andrew stood besides the other officers besides the wall. The judge sits on his chair infront of the entire court room, two lawyers sit in the middle of the room at the end of the table, one being a prosecutor and the other one being a defense. Many people who had come to attend the hearing sat in all the chairs awaiting the decision.

The judge nods after hearing everything that all the witnesses, evidence and the two lawyers had to say and finally made his decision.

"This court finds Alex guilty of the murder of Amanda Louis and other series of crimes that have yet to be identified and sentences her to a lifetime of prison."

Alex closes her eyes and let's out a shaky sigh.

"The case is closed!"

People started talking and getting up to exit the courtroom. Two female police officers walked towards Alex and took her by the hand. She started walking out but stopped when she reached Andrew.

She looked at him and smiled. "Congratulations Andrew. You've solved your 50th case. One that many officers haven't accomplished, you must be so proud."

He sighed looking at her nodding. "Goodbye Alex."

She smiled sniffling. "Goodbye Andrew. I hope you have an amazing life ahead." The two officers took Alex away as Andrew just watched them dissapear out of the room as the lights closed one by one until it was nothing but darkness.

Now in the present, Andrew was yet sitting by the chair with the newspaper and his daughter was asleep on his shoulder. He smiled at her stroking her hair.

"Dinner!" A voice called out.

This made his daughter startle awake making Andrew chuckle shaking his head. "Come on let's go have dinner or else your mother won't leave anything for us."

She smiled and nodded. She got up to leave but before she left she turned around and looked at him. "Hey dad."

He looked at her. "This Alex. Did you love her?"

He looked at her and just smiled at her. "Love?" He just smiled at her not answering. She nodded and walked away.

Andrew sighed looking at the newspaper sadly. Andrew dropped the newspaper on the seat and he walks away. Looking closer to the newspaper, Headlines read 'criminal Alex who was found guilty 18 Years ago found dead in her cell with a razor blade right next to her.'
