Severus Snape was not having a good day. After blowing up his cauldron during some experiments in a new potion he was creating, after getting burnt by spilling his coffee, he just had to get this good news.
He was the one who had to get Potter. Out of all muggleborns or muggle-raised, Potter.

Great. Just bloody fantastic. He swore to make Albus pay for this.

His black clothes contrasted strongly with the bright street he was walking in. He was in a street in the upper-class quartiers in London. The boy obviously lived in luxury. He looked back at his notebook checking the address.
A beautiful big house with three floors and an enormous garden as well as a pool. He just hoped that his muggle parents weren't posh or snobby. He was not in the mood to talk to annoying people. Or people in general.

He rang the doorbell and waited. Soon a blond woman opened the door. She was taller than him, with short blond hair, and brown eyes. She looked around his age., maybe two or three years younger.
"Yes? How may I help you?" She asked smiling while looking a bit wary.
"Good afternoon. My name is Severus Snape and I'm searching for Harry Potter-Stevenson and his parents." He answered trying to be as nice as he could muster on this horrible day. His attempts were vain by the look on her face.
"Ah, alright. My name is Ashley Stevenson, I'm one of Harry's mothers." She said before shaking his hand "come in."

"Do you want anything, Mr. Snape? Tea? Coffee?" She asked while leading him inside a sitting room.
"A cup of tea would be nice. Thank you Ms. Stivenson." He answered absently touching his burned hand.
"Alright. Wait here for a moment, I'll get my wife and my son." She answered before going out of the room.

Snape eyed the photos on the walls, always seeing a black-haired woman next to Ashley with a child. Short black hair, striking green eyes, and a bright smile. The same smile his tormentor had. And her eyes.
But there was something wrong. Those green eyes... there was something he didn't know and he would find out.

Suddenly, the door was opened by Ms. Stivenson, followed by the woman in the photo, and finally Harry Potter the bloody boy who lived.
"Hello Mr. Snape, I'm Estella Stevenson and this is Harry." She said cheerfully before sitting down, taking the boy's hand and gently tugging him down.

"Hello, Mr. Snape," Potter said looking right into his eyes. He lost his breath when those unmoving eyes kept staring at him.
"Hello" he started before taking a deep breath "hello Mr. Potter."
"I prefer Stevenson actually." He corrected softly.
"Stevenson, then." Severus answered, his voice dropping to a whisper.
'Maybe he is blind?' he thought.

"I know what you are asking yourself and yes, Harry is almost totally blind," Ashley answered as a serious expression took over her face. Harry's smile faltered before going back to normal.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."
"Don't worry, we experience this every day. Just spare me the pity, please?" Harry said a bit exasperated.
"I- alright. I promise not to pity you, but can I ask you a personal question?" Snape answered a bit annoyed at being interrupted but feeling genuinely curious. The boy nodded.
"Are you blind since birth?" He asked rather unsurely.
"I became blind when I was 5." He answered simply, not adding any detail on how.

"So what brings you here Mr. Snape?" Estella asked after a few moments of silence.
"I'm here to deliver Harry's acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I'm sure that Harry has had some... accidents during his youth, maybe some things moving around or exploding."
"A rude teacher's hair turning blue," Estella said laughing as Harry blushed.
"For all I care, I didn't see it." Harry joked as they all laughed.

"Yes, well that is magic. Harry's birth parents are two magical people and Harry is one of us. He is actually one of the most famous ones all over the Magical World." Snape paused to take a sip of his cup of tea. "Our world is completely separated from yours as in the past many of use were haunted, wether it was to 'purify the world' or to study our abilities. We started hiding during the Middle Ages, when the Witch Hunt started to become a real problem. It wasn't one or two people anymore, it was 1 or 2 hundred every day. Our first and only king, Merlin, helped us create our community, teached us how to hide and how to use our abilities as many of us weren't even literate at the time. Soon Hogwarts was created, and the first students started filling the halls. Many other schools were created but ours is still first in the school ranking. I'm willing to show you how it works if you are not convinced." Severus said.

"We believe you." Harry said after having a silent conversation with his parents.
