Mind Games [Riven]

Chapter 1

It was the first day back at Alfea College for many fairies and specialist and for some it was their first day ever.

For people like Stella Apollos and Theodora Belmont it was their first day back but instead of being in a suite with second years, they were in one full of first years, which, frankly, is a long story.

While Stella was in charge of showing the American girl around, Theodora was already in their new suite unpacking with the rest of her flatmates. She was sharing one with 5 other girls including Stella and shared a room with the said girl.

In the middle of her unpacking her room door shut close and an irritated blonde was leaning againts it.

"I hate it here already." Theodora chuckled at her best friend, "That bad already?" Stella threw her purse on her bed as she took off her coat and started to unpack.

"I've only been here for maybe an hour, if that and I've already got thousands of looks. People really need to remember their place."

Theodora let out a sigh as she finished unpacking her things and went over to help Stella.

"I've got them too, don't worry. It'll get better, you know it will."

Stella only mumbled it better as the two finished up unpacking her things. Theodora went and opened the door, not wanting their suit-mates thinking they weren't allowed to speak to them or anything like that.

She started going through her, now, sorted clothes as Stella fixed her makeup before also looking through her own wardrobe. As the blonde girl was picking up different outfits and looking into the mirror to see what she liked best, Bloom, the American girl came in as she was walking by.

"Wait you're changing? I tought the orientation party was a casual thing?" Stella barely glanced at the red head as she answered her, "It is but people have seen me in this outfit already and they'll except something different. They expect me to care how I look."

The light fairy looked Bloom up and down before returning her look back to the mirror and making a light appear meanwhile Theodora rolled her eyes at her best friend.

"Stella be nice." the mind fairy went to exit her room but before that she stopped in front of Bloom and spoke in a low voice.

"Don't take anything she says to heart. She's a tough nut to crack."

Bloom smiled at Theodora having met her in front of the school earlier that day and instantly taking a liking to her.

As the blonde and redhead countinued their converstation, the brunette smiled at Terra and the plants she put in the common room.

"These are lovely Terra, they really brighten up the shared space." "Oh thank you Thea. Would you like a succulent? They don't need much water and can pretty much indure any light and weather."

The mind fairy gladly took the little succulent from the earth fairy as she countinued to put different plants near the windows.

Theodora smiled at the little plant that she went to put up in her room before she was called by Stella saying that she should start getting ready.

Just before they were going to make their way to the party, rumors started spreading around about the dead body found behinde the Barrier. Some say it was a bear or wolf but others seem to think that it was a Burned One and for everyone's sake, Theodora was hoping they were wrong.

After they got to the Orentantion party, Stella went God knows where while Theodora went to find at least one of her closest friends and lucky her, she found Sam Harvey almost instantly.

"There you are. I was already worried you were hiding in the walls." Sam rolled his eyes before hugging his best friend, "I missed you too Thea."

The two started to talk in detail about eachother's summer, not having the chance to talk in person before today. Just as the two finished their converstation, Sam was called over by a few of his friends.

"Hello love."

Theodora turned around, only to see non-other then Riven Decker standing there, the boy she spent her whole summer with.

"New nickname? Can't say it's very creative Riv." he chuckled as he put a pink strand of hair behinde her ear which unknown to him, made the mind fairy's heart race.

"What can I say, my creativeness dosen't leave the bed but you already knew that."

Theodora tried to play off the blush she felt making its way onto her face by pushing him a bit.

"Sure, if it helps you sleep at night." "Well I was hoping you would."

He got really close to her as he leaned down to whisper in her ear.

"The abandoned classroom, in an hour."

He winked at her before walking away. Theodora let out a breath she was holding it.

This wouldn't be the first time they would be hooking up, they've done that almost the whole summer besides spending time together and just enjoying eachother's company. The problem is somewhere along the way, Theodora started to catch feelings for the dark haired boy even though she didn't want to admit it.

The hour went by quickly and before she knew it, she was sitting on a desk in the abandoned classroom and making out with Riven.

"God I missed you." Riven said againts the girl's neck as he kissed down it which made Theodora laugh,"You saw me a week ago Riv."

He only mumbled too long as he slightly bit her neck which brought out a moan out of the girl. Just as the specialist's hands made their way up Theodora's skirt and his lips found her's again, the fairy's phone vibrated next to her which made her pull away from him.

"Hold on." he let out a whine in protest as she picked up her phone and read the texts she got from Musa.

"I am gonna kill her!"

Riven looked at her concerned as his hands instantly left her legs.

"Woah hold on there killer fairy. What happened?" "Stella gave her ring to Bloom to go to the First World, the closest fucking gateway is deep into the forest. There might be something worse than a wild animal out there, how stupid can she be!"

Riven couldn't believe what he was hearing. I mean he knew Stella got jelaous easily but would she really go that far and get a first year murdered, he'd hope not.

Theodora grabbed her leather jacket as she got down from the table.

"I'm really sorry Riv, I gotta go help the girls find Bloom, make sure she's okay. I'll make it up to you, promise."

She gave him a peck on the lips as she quickly made her way out, that action left Riven standing in shock. Yeah sure, they kissed and made out but never like this. This was something new and if he was being honest, he wasn't opposed to the idea of kissing the fairy even when they weren't hooking up.

Fuck, he tought to himself. He had caught feelings for one of his closest friends. He couldn't get attached, not to her.
