Mind Games [Riven]

Chapter 2

That night Stella didn't come back to the suite, Theodora barely slept since she kept having nightmares about the Burned One she saw last night even though she didn't see it up close like Bloom did. God, was she mad at Stella, how stupid could of she been, she had to know better.

Just as she finished getting ready in the morning she heard Stella come in and talking with Musa and Bloom so she stormed out of her room and into the shared area.

"-how big of a screw-up that is!" Stella was raising her voice at Bloom, mad that the girl lost her ring and the poor redhead was now looking at the floor.

"Yeah, almost as big as giving it to her in the first place. I mean how stupid can you be Stel?" "I was doing her a favour!"

Stella raised her voice at Theodora, not knowing better in the moment. The mind fairy took a few deep breaths as her eyes glowed purple instantly, not wanting her powers to get out of control, again.

"Do not raise your voice at me Stella! You had to know better than to give Bloom that ring while she was in an vulnerable state. She almost got murdered by a Burned One for Heaven's sake! It's your ring, your responsibility, go and get it back, be my guest."

With that she grabbed her bag and stormed out, not wanting to deal with Stella anymore and trying to get her emotions under control.

Soon enough lunch time rolled around and unfortunately for the 5 girls, Stella alongside Sky interrupted their peaceful lunch by slaming a map of Alfea down onto the table and starting to talk about where the Burned One could be kept.

"I'm sorry princess but when did this become a we problem?" "Well, princess Theodora, I didn't lose it."

Before Theodora could reply to Stella's jab or before Sky could stop the two from fighting further, Bloom spoke up.

"When do we go?" The 5 girls sitting down at the table turned towards Bloom with wide eyes just as Aisha spoke up.

"Gonna be blunt. Sorry. Bloom you have zero control over your magic. That's, if you manage to chanel it. Bad idea."

Bloom looked at Aisha with determination written all over her face.

"I lost the ring. I'm gonna get it back."

Theodora zoned out, already knowing she would be caught up in this whether she liked it or not. Stella may be one of her best friends but she could really be a pain sometimes. She was brought back out of her thoughts by Bloom getting up and leaving, Sky following after her which Stella didn't like one bit.

Soon enough, everyone went their separate ways. Theodora texted Riven to see where he was but he didn't respond which was odd but she didn't look into it much.

Getting a text from Sky to come to his suite, the brunette made her way towards the boys dormitories. On her way there she passed by the new girl, Beatrix and deep down, she knew exactly where she was coming from.

Getting to Sky and Riven's suite, Theodora let herself in and only greeted Sky, ignoring Riven and his comment about not getting a hello.

"Did you manage to talk Bloom out of it?" Sky shook his head no, "She's stubborn and dosen't want to listen. Is there a chance you could go with them?"

Theodora groaned, she knew this was going to happen. Did she like it? Not one bit. Is she going to be a good friend and go with the two girls to make sure everything goes okay? Absolutely.

"Yeah, of course. I was gonna get dragged along by Stella anyways, so it's not like I have a choice. But I still can't believe she could be so stupid, I mean Bloom could of died! That Burned One wasn't joking around, he was ready to kill her and the rest of us."

That's when Riven jumped into the conversation, not knowing the girl faced a Burned One alongside her flatmates.

"Wait what? You saw a Burned One? Are you okay?" the brunnete rolled her eyes but went to answer him anyways.

"Yes Riven, we did but miss Dowling came and saved us. You'd know this if you picked up your goddamn phone when I call or text but I guess you were too busy hooking up with Beatrix."

With that Theodora stormed out of the suite while both Riven and Sky were shocked by her call out.

"You fucked up mate. Big time." Riven flipped Sky off as he got up and went after the brunette girl.

"Thea wait! Please. Theodora!" Riven caught the girl's arm just as she turned around to look at him. She had tears in her eyes that she was trying to blink away.

"Thea I can explain please just-" she cut him off, "You hooked up with her didnt you?" the dark haired boy started to answer but was cut off by Theodora once again.

"Just leave me be Riven, please." she got out of his grasp and started to walk away but he stopped her once again.

"It was just once and it meant nothing. C'mon let's not make a big deal out of this Thea." "It's a big deal to me, okay? Because I actually started to have feelings for you, you asshole! And just for minute, I started to think you might feel the same way. Also the last time I remember we agreed to not hook up with anyone else, so yes Riven, it's a big deal. But I forgot, the big bad boy can't be seen caring for anyone other than himself! Go to hell Riven!"

With that Theodora finally walked away while Riven was left speechless in the middle of the corridor. He really did fuck up this time and he didn't know how to make it up.

A few hours later, Theodora alongside Musa and Terra was bringing into Alfea College, Mr. Silva who was attacked by a Burned One. There were a few students around and as Terra said she needed a med kit from the Bastion, Beatrix said she was gonna get the headmistress.

Riven and Dane took over carrying Mr. Silva from Musa and Theodora while Terra told her brother, Sam to go get their dad, professor Harvey.

As Theodora followed them into the Greenhouse, Sky joined them soon after, asking questions that the brunette was still too shocked to answer.

After making sure Silva was going to be okay, Theodora was taken to the infirmary where she had to stay the night.

One thing was for sure, today was going to be a day none of the girls will forget. But the real question is, is that the last Burned One or are there more?
