It was around 3:30 a.m., Cain couldn't sleep. He grabbed his phone and started clicking random apps trying to make himself tired.
He went onto snapchat and looked through all the people in his quick add, one caught his eye, someone named Pavel.
He decided to add him for whatever reason.
Late on he texted his girlfriend, Summer.
Cain: "hey. r u awake?"
No reply.
He played some music in an attempt to fall asleep.
*The Next Day*
Ren:"WAKE UP, CAIN! YOU HAVE TO WALK ME TO SCHOOL!"
Cain woke up to the excruciating noise of his little sister screaming for him to wake up.
He opened his eyes slowly and saw that she was standing right in front of his bed.
Ren:"Finally! you're up. You need to hurry up or will be late for school."
Cain looked over to his bedside table and checked the clock. 7:24 am.
Cain:"Shit, I'm late!"
He sprung out of bed and quickly rushed to the bathroom practically running over my sister in the process.
After getting ready he quickly ran downstairs and noticed that Ren was crying.
Cain:"REN, ARE YOU OKAY?!"
As he quickly rushed over to her.
Ren:"NO, you knocked me over in the bathroom... my leg really hurts..."
She said in a soft voice with tears in her eyes.
Cain:"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry Ren. I didnt mean to"
He inspected her leg, there was a bruise on her knee.
He sat Ren down on the couch and grabbed an icepack from the freezer.
He covered it with some paper towel so it wasn't too cold for her. Then placed it on her knee.
Cain:"Is that okay?"
Ren:"yeah...it doesn't hurt anymore"
Cain:"I'm really sorry, Ren"
Ren:"It's alright. I love you"
Cain:"I love you too"
He said with a slight smile on his face.
He looked at the clock, it was 7:53.
Cain:"We're late"
He decided to let Ren stay home for the day.
He carried Ren to their next door neighbour.
She was a kind sweet old lady, who babysat Ren sometimes.
Cain:"Can Ren stay here for the day, I have to go to school and she injured her leg"
Neighbour:"Of course she can"
Cain:"Thank so much, take good care of her"
Ren:"Bye bye"
Cain:"See you after school"
He checked his phone, 8:00.
Cain:"Fuck"
He ran to school almost getting hit by a car.
As soon as he got to school he heard his phone ding.
