Backstory: Alexander was born to an old, disgruntled COG soldier and his squad's advisory aid after the during the pendulum wars. Most of Alexander's life was full of training from his dad and education from his mom, as both wanted nothing to do with the COG. Sadly his mother had to rejoin the COG when the Locust emerged and his father was put back in service. When he became old enough he was Also conscripted into the COG military, with the training from his father Alexander would prove to be his squad's ace. Alexander would soon hear of his father's death and was brought under his mom's advisement and given his father's repaired armor. After years of working with the new squad, Alexander would be given a biological augmentation that increases his natural growth. He wasn't the only one with this augmentation as plenty of promising, highly skilled and experienced soldiers would get this augmentation.

For an explanation for this "Augmentation" as it actually isn't canon in Gears of War. But I have to agree with this particular creators theory.)
