Bored & Alone (Errink drabble)

Ink grew tired of slouching about in the Doodlesphere. It was boring from time to time. Even though Ink guarded each au, he couldn't help but dread his everlasting duty of protecting each individual one. He was thankful when Nightmare's stupid gang would barge in an au and begin destroying it. Because of the destruction, he'd have a reason to get up and reconstruct it.
Lately, Ink has been getting more and more exhausted. Nightmare and his gang of misfits have been attacking more recently and it was starting to get annoying and tiring. He'd usually be content about it, but this time it was becoming to be too much. They weren't attacking according to Ink's marked schedules.
Ink was fed up with working on aus for the past months non stop. He needed a damn break. He tried contacting Dream and Blue but they seemed to be busy with whatever they were doing. Ink even tried to meet up with Cross. It didn't go accordingly. Ink sighed and plopped back down on the Doodlesphere's mirrored flooring. Of course, there was one more skeleton Ink could desperately 'bother'.
Error. Ink's eye lights shifted to brighter colors, showing his excitement and happiness at the thought. Error is never busy. He's available. Perhaps he could draw while sitting next to Error? Maybe even engage in a conversation. Stars, maybe they could watch Undernovela together. Ink didn't quite remember when he figured out Error liked watching that strange au...oh well.
Ink then got up and snatched his beloved brush off the ground. Ink made a portal with a single stroke of the brush and hopped through. He was quickly greeted with the sight of the blinding color of white all around, and Error slouched in his soft beanbag while watching an au, suspecting to be Undernovela.
Ink's appearance was loud enough to catch Error's attention. Colorful blue strings suddenly dropped from the abyss above and took hold of Ink, tangling him in these strings. Ink heard Error let out a sigh of annoyance.
"Even though we agreed on a truce, it doesn't mean you can come into MY AntiVoid whenever you feel like it!" Error hissed as he closed Undernovela's portal. Ink just snickered in response like he usually does.
"Aw, c'mon Error! You're always so cooped up here, sometimes its nice to have a visitor." Ink's eye lights changed to a star and a bright orange circle as he smiled down to Error.
"I don't need pathetic anomalies like you bothering me in my free time." Error sneered as he commanded his bright blue strings to release Ink from their tight grip.
Ink landed perfectly on the ground, dusting himself off. Ink dropped his brush on the floor and gave a little sad smile. "Look Error, I've just been stressed lately is all and I just need some company right now. We don't even have to talk, I just want to know that someone else is with me at the moment.
Error just stared, unable to think of an insult or retort back at Ink. "He came to me? Why?" Error thought. He could see how awkward Ink was just standing there. He sighed.
"Alright, fine Squid. Just don't touch anything and don't come near me." Error quickly said as he plopped back down on his dark gray bean-bag. Ink's eye lights lit up with excitement.
"Wait, really? Oh gee, thanks Error!" Ink replied happily as he sat a few feet away from Error, remembering his haphephobia.
Error just mumbled and glanced back at Undernovela's portal. Ink did say that they didn't have to speak, so he expects the Squid to not bother him.

It's been a few hours as Ink just lays a few feet besides Error while drawing silently and occasionally yawning. Error took notice of his yawns.
"Squid? Are you really that tired right now? Y'know, now that I mention it...you look like shit, dude. Do you even sleep?" Error joked while holding a puppet of Underfell Sans.
Ink could barely look up. "I'm fine, Error. I'm wide awake-" Ink slightly slurred his sentence. He slowly blinked as he yawned again. He did indeed look terrible.
Error weirdly felt...concerned? No! He couldn't feel sympathy for this stupid anomaly. But on the other hand, Ink looked like he needed to explain some things about now.
"You haven't slept lately, haven't you?"
Ink gave a little laugh. "I'm fine, Error! I've slept plenty." Ink tried his best to appear more energetic, but it didn't work on Error.
         "When's the last you slept?"
Ink sat there silently for a good couple moments before answering. "3 weeks? I can't remember at this point." He mumbled.
3 weeks? Is he insane? Error suddenly felt a little pang of guilt. This idiot has been struggling to befriend him for months and the constant destruction in the aus must keep him up at night. He has to help him somehow.
Ink looked dull and tired. How did he put his little energetic trick up earlier? That's a question for another day, but now...
Blue strings suddenly wrapped around the small artist, lifting him up ever so lightly.
"Error please, I'm not in the mood to fight you..."
Instead of being forced into combat, Ink was dropped onto something soft. Mostly warm. Ink managed to tiredly open his eyes to see Error's bright red eyes staring right back at him as he lays in his lap. Ink's cheeks felt warm. What the hell was Error doing? Doesn't he have haphephobia? Error looked as if he'd crash at any moment, but he still felt calmer than he expected to be.
The sound of Error's glitches were so soothing to Ink. Ink wanted to be careful so he slowly took ahold of Error's arm and lightly hugged it, enjoying the warmth. Error blushed.
Moments of comfortable silence passed as the two held each other in their arms. Ink had fallen asleep while Error looked just as tired. Error gave a last glance at Ink and smiled.
"Sometimes I wish you knew how much I loved you."

"You know, I've always felt the same..."
