Broken bones

I woke up in a hospital bed. The lights were so bright. A heart monitor beeped on my left, and a Bi-pap mask in my nose. A Sat monitor was on my finger and I was tempted to take it off, but i didn't know what would happen so I left it alone.

A nurse came in and gave me a shot.

 I fell asleep.

I woke up a few hours later and I was free of all equipment.

I tried to swing my legs over the side of the bed but I couldn't. I felt a searing pain in my right leg. It was in a cast all the way up to my lower thigh. I tried to lean over but my neck was immovable.

I yelled out as loud as I could but it came out very hoarse. Nevertheless, a nurse hurried in and took my stats and checked my casts. She then came closer to my face. She was really weirding me out. She handed me a mirror.

I took it and my mouth gaped open.

All along the right side of my face, there were black stitches, in a curved line and a small cut above my eyebrow held together by something that looked like staples.

 I spoke in a squeak,"What happened?"

The nurse responded calmly, "You were in a car crash with your mother and sister."

It all came rushing back, the crash, the screeching tires, "MY MOM! MY SISTER! ARE THEY OKAY?!"

"Miss please calm down. Your sister only has a broken arm."

"And my mom? Is she ok?"

The nurse didn't answer.

"IS SHE?" I (attempted) to scream.

The nurse sighed and said,"Your mom is in a coma. She has a broken neck as well. We have no idea how long she'll be in a coma...

or if she'll ever wake up."
