Molly's Life

The surprise

Molly didn't really understand why the kids went to school. But Molly is a dog. And she probably wouldn't understand why the kids have to go to school ever. The only thing she was thinking about was the surprise she was going to give them. She couldn't wait. She waited until the kids were in bed. Sally was in the living room watching t.v. so Molly's plan came into action. She whinnied by the door. And acted like she had to go potty. Sally said "okay girl, want outside?" Just as Molly planned, Sally opened the door. And Molly ran out back to the back of the yard. Sally walked back to the t.v. It was wet outside. Molly dug a hole by the tree and covered her paws in mid. She started to think her plan was dumb but she continued to get her paws covered in mud. And then her side and her face. Until she was covered in head to paws in mud. Molly knew if Sally saw her like this then she wouldn't be able to do what she wanted. So she waited and waited until finally Sally opens the door to let Molly back in. It was pitch black outside. "Molly! Come on girl!" Molly knew Sally couldn't see her with the mud so she walked right past her legs and behind the door. "Okay, you can stay outside tonight..." Sally was so tired she didn't even notice Molly, and she walked to her bedroom. Molly was so excited but she JUST forgot her whole plan. Why would she get dirty and then hide it from Sally. Molly felt stupid for forgetting her own brilliant plan. She started to panic she ran across the room trying to remember her plan. But she got nothing. She ran in all different directions panicking and hoping she would remember. Then she saw all the mud she put on the floor. It was a mess. She knew she was gonna be in SO much trouble. She started to run around more not knowing she was making more mud on the carpet. She ended up falling asleep on the couch completely worried about what she had done. She wanted to do something special for the kids and she just made things worse. She thought that Sally would get mad and beat her. Molly thought she was a horrible dog and surprise planner. Molly had nightmares all through out the night. How could something she thought that would be awesome come out so stupid. When morning came Tom was the first one to come in the room. Tom looked at the floor and looked at Molly and at the floor and smiled and ran into Sally's room shouting, "Mom! Mom look at what Molly did!" Sally asked "what did she do?" "Just come here" Sally looked at the floor and gasped. "Rose come look at this!" Rose came into where everyone else was and she said "Molly spelled out 'I love you' with mud?" Molly looked at the floor it looked like a mess to her. But they all petted Molly and told them they love her too. Sally grabbed the cleaning supplies but before she did she took a picture of it. Molly couldn't believe it! She turned something horrible into something fantastic. Except for Sally who had to clean it up. The kids gave her a bath. Molly hated it but she loved how the kids laughed when Molly shook around. Then the kids had to spend the rest of the morning getting ready for school. Molly thought al least they had a good morning so they should have a good rest of the day. Molly was happy a little upset to see the kids leave the house and go on the big yellow bus but at least the kids knew that Molly loved them. And she knew that the kids loved her back.
