TW: blood, death

Eliza screamed as the bullet from her sisters gun pierced her husband. She broke free from the chair and ran over, clutching Alex's body as he fell lifeless in her arms. She sobbed into him when she heard sirens from outside.

Peggy dropped the gun and tried to run when John came down the stairs, followed by a policeman. A few more came down, and the paramedics. The they took the body away and arrested Peggy and John.

"Ma'am, you have to come with us. We have to take your statement..." one of the female officers said with a warm smile. Not the time. Not the place.

Eliza slowly got up, still sobbing, and went with the officer into the car to the police station. They also brought Angelica since she was a witness.

The police officers had to take Eliza's clothes since it was covered in Alex's blood. They gave her some clothes from the donation bin while they finished questioning Angelica. Once she was done, she could get Eliza clothes from home.

Eliza knew her questioning would take longer. There was more to ask her then just the standard questions they asked Angelica. She sat there, awkwardly waiting for her turn to speak to the detective. The one who told her her husband would be back soon. The one who she proved wrong.

Angelica left and Eliza went into the interview room. She sat across from the detective who started a recording device. Tears were still falling from her eyes.

"Tell me what happened." The detective said gently and handed her a tissue. She refused it and sniffled.

"My husband went missing 2 nights ago. You wouldn't take the case so my sisters and I took over. We found that my husbands ex boyfriend, who happens to be my sisters husband, kidnapped him to have him as his own. My sister agreed to this and when my husband was calming me, she got fed up and... and killed him..." Eliza said quietly.

The detective wrote a few things down. "How did you find out her husband kidnapped yours?" He asked her.

"One of our suspects got a message on his phone from John. We were looking into Francis Kinloch. We had permission to look through his phone. We asked his husband, Liam Grant-Kinloch." She explained.

Angelica knocked on the door with Eliza's clean clothes from home. "May I go change?" She asked quietly.

The detective shook his head. "In a moment. We are almost done." He said and wrote another thing down. "Why would your sister hurt you like this?" He asked.

"I don't know... I don't think she's in her right mind... I still can't believe it..." she whispered as the detective stopped the recording.

"My condolences, Mrs. Hamilton." He said and helped her up, opening the door for her to go change.

Eliza changed into the black leggings and tshirt her sister brought. She starred at her wedding ring. She didn't know why but she felt sick. Really sick.

...

Eliza went home with a suspicion. Not on people, anymore. More on herself. She hadn't noticed before because of the stress of her husband but she felt it now.

She stopped at the store and got a pregnancy test to confirm her suspicions. When she got home, she took three, just incase any of them were wrong.

She waited the 2 minutes then flipped over the first one. Positive. Then the second. Positive. Then the third. Positive.

Of course, now she gets her dream come true. When her husband isn't here beside her. When he isn't there to see the results, the test, the heartbeat. He wouldn't be with her for anything.

He wouldn't be with her for the birth of their child.
