The satisfying crunching of leaves filled my ears as I began my journey to a terror place called school. 

Walking alone can be increasingly boring so I took out a pair of shiny black headphones and gently put them on my head. The music was soft and melodious, sometimes like how I felt when I was alone. But at the same time a depressing beat filled in the gaps.

*Time Skip*

The words were printed in bold letters atop the school, "Ravenwood High". I slowly opened the doors. I slowly walked. I slowly opened my locker. All of this slowness just to not catch attention. Unluckily, I did.

The hallway fell silent and heads turned to me. I attempted an awkward wave but that didn't help. Okay, plan B. I tried to muster a smile but it looked extremely forced. I thought I must've looked like a flipping ghost. 

It was a perfect movie scene when everyone stares at you for an awkward moment and then everyone starts darting around. I heard people saying goodbyes to their friends and sprinting to their next class. I saw others stuffing binders, papers, pencils, and other school supplies into their locker, not caring for a second even if they dropped their phone or any other valuables. The crowd cleared quickly.

The hallway was silent again. Except for this time, I stood alone.

Alone I felt. Alone I was. Alone I knew.

I quietly dropped to the hard tile floor and opened my locker. In red marker, a note was written on a white piece of paper, "Witch."

Witch. Is that all I am? Is that all everyone thought of me? Even my over-protective brother couldn't save me sometimes.

I grabbed the note and crumbled it up and trick-shotted it into the trash can in the middle of the hallway. I quickly gathered my notebooks and went to English class, hoping that no one saw the tears threatening to spill from my eyes.
