7 - Still With You

It's been two days since Jake went to Soo Yun's place and two days since he last saw her. He thought of her a lot during this time, and he didn't even know why.

Why did he care about her so much? He didn't know.

"What's wrong with me..." Jake muttered as he ran his fingers through his hair. He thought of her even while working. It seemed that Soo Yun had consumed all his thoughts and it was terrifying, how she could do that to him without her even realizing it.

"Mr. Sim?" His secretary called as she walked inside his office. "Mr. Lee is here."

"Let him in." He said and before he knew it, Heeseung walked inside with a gloomy expression. "Hey, what's wrong?"

"I just came back from the hospital." Heeseung sighed. "Sunghoon's sister-"

"What's with her?" Jake frowned. 

"She's in the hospital." 

"Why? What's wrong? Is she sick? Did she get h-"

"For god's sake, Jake, yes she got hurt. She fell from the ladder when she was working." Heeseung smirked at Jake when he let out a sigh of relief.

"Is she alright?" He asked, clearly worried. Why was he even so worried about her?

"Yes, but she twisted her ankle so she needs to rest and not move her foot a lot."

"They're still at the hospital? Sunghoon and Soo Yun?"

"Yeah, Jay is there too. The others visited her earlier." Heeseung said and Jake felt hurt. Why did he have to be the last one to know about her?

He felt jealous of how the others knew so much about her and how they were so close to her. The two of them were just so awkward and it quite bothered him.

So, without waiting more, he called his secretary and asked her to cancel his plans for the day before he left Heeseung alone and rushed out of his office.

"This guy..." Heeseung smiled as he shook his head.

Jake drove to the hospital where Soo Yun was staying before he parked his car rather randomly and walked upstairs to find her room.

And once he did, he walked inside to be met with a surprised Soo Yun and two confused guys.

"Jake? Why are you here?" Jay asked. "I thought you were working."

"That's right, you told me that you were busy," Sunghoon added and Jake just stole a glance at Soo Yun who was staring at him with wide doe eyes.

"I..." He started, still looking at her. "Heeseung told me that you got hurt... are you okay? Does your ankle hurt?"

"Yes." She slightly chuckled. "But I'm fine. Other than the fact that I won't be able to walk for a couple of days, I'm okay."

"Oh..." Jake muttered as he ran his fingers through his hair. He always did that whenever he was nervous.

"Thank you for coming, Jake. It means a lot to me." Soo Yun smiled warmly at him as he stared into her eyes, almost drowning in them.

How did she manage to look so pretty even while wearing the hospital's robe?

Shaking his head, he turned to Sunghoon who was rather having a great time while watching the two of them.

"When is she leaving? Did the doctor tell you when?" Jake asked and Sunghoon crossed his arms.

"Actually, she can just go now." He said but then he sighed. "But I can't drive her back home, I have an important meeting that I can't cancel."

"I can drive her h-" Jay volunteered but Sunghoon stopped him from speaking further.
