I know that I said we were going to introduce ourselves, but I have to get this out of the way first. I know when most people see rules, they automatically groan. But I promise these won't be too hard to follow and will help better our community in the long run!
» 1 - Appropriateness «
Because B.LOV.D is a Christian community, we want to keep our content to Christian standards. Please when saying anything to this account (comments, message board posts, etc.), keep it appropriate for minors and talk like God is listening. Because he is!
So please do not:
- use fowl language (any cuss or swear words)
- use God's name in vain
- talk about adult subject matter
- or anything else that you wouldn't want God or your sweet grandmother to hear
» 2 - Harassment «
Because our acronym B.LOV.D contains the words Belong, Love, and Value, harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. We understand that some of the things that we say or that others in our community will say might be controversial, but please stay kind. If you are caught by any of our admin harassing another person, you will be blocked and reported.
Also, if you ever catch anyone harassing someone, please let us know so we can check it out and intervene. Don't feel like a tattle tale; you are helping someone!
» 3 - Our Message Board «
I know a lot of people like to use others' message boards to advertise their works. And we don't have a problem with that! There are just a couple things that we ask of you before you advertise your work:
- your story must be clean (follow the list in rule 1 along with no LGBTQ+)
- please keep your advertising short and sweet (just so our message board isn't overcrowded, thanks :) )
- please DMs us to let us know you want to advertise your work on our message board before posting anything so we can check your story out and confirm that you can advertise
Also, slightly related, if you ever want us to personally read your books, it will depend on who you want to read it. We are busy, but some of the admins (like me) might be willing to read your stories if you are patient with us and it follows our cleanliness standards :)
