Holy shit. Holy shit. Holy shit. Fuck me (literally). I walk into the bathroom and look at my disheveled self in the vanity. Yeah, now I understand why that lady misinterpreted what was going on. My hair doesn't look like a rough fuck, or even a fuck at all, but it does look like we got to second base which is perfectly fine by me. I brush my fingers through my hair and tug my dress down. Taking a deep breath, I think to myself, what were the odds that Mr. Sexy Mystery Man was in the closet with me?

I mean I should've tried to figure it out sooner so I could make a move, but no. Instead, I annoyed him with my countless questions about a stupid closet. I walk into the ballroom and I see some guests already in their chairs while people were still setting up pouring out the champagne into everyone's glasses.

"Cami," I hear and I look up to see Chris and Mom sitting in the corner. They wave for me to come over. I hesitate, giving both of them a skeptical glance. Chris throws his hands up and relents, still motioning for me to come to sit down. I walk over to them and sit down next to him.

"Tienes mucha suerte de haberte escapado a tiempo. (You're very lucky to have escaped in time.) I would've ripped this dress right off of you, chica," my mom leans over to whisper to me. I give her a fake smile and patiently wait for the event to start.

More guests enter the ballroom and I try to look for Mr. Definitely Sexy Still a Mystery Guy, but there's no luck because it's too dark. The DJ starts playing music and the MC's voice blares through the microphone. The doors open with the bridesmaids and groomsmen dancing onto the dance floor. At the end of their little dance sequence, the newly-wed Cameron and Daniela step out onto the dance floor.

They both have University of Michigan jerseys on top of their outfits which I found cute because they met each other their freshman year there. They start off by dancing to the queen, Nicki Minaj, but then the song quickly changes when they rip off their jerseys. It's Perfect by Ed Sheeran. No offense to anyone, but every single couple plays this at their wedding. I'll be impressed when a couple chooses something different.

Once they finish, everyone applauds and cheers as they get seated at the head table. Daniela changed into a shorter white dress with sequins that shined brightly as the light pointed at her. The couple is handed a microphone and they both express their gratitude to everyone who came out to the wedding. They then announce that there is a buffet right outside this room in the hall. It's slightly embarrassing that I get up a little earlier than everyone else does, but once I see more people getting up I rush over to where the food is.

I'm glad that it's buffet-style rather than a seated dinner. I mean the point of people coming to weddings is to eat, so might as well load up. After I have my plate almost overflowing, I make my way back into the ballroom, but that can never go smoothly for me. I almost crash into a small child who is running to the buffet and when I look up Mr. Sexy Mystery Man shoots a look my way and tries to hide his laugh.

God, he's even hotter up close I think to myself as my cheeks flush. I sit down and place the cloth napkin on my lap. Chris looks at me and my food raising his eyebrows. "Yeah, okay. I'm telling you to shut up before you even say anything."

"I wasn't even gonna say anything," he laughs.

"Yeah, sure."

"Okay, yeah maybe I was."

"Chris, what's the point of going to a wedding if you don't load yourself up with free food?" He agrees as he rips his arepa in half.

I really do feel bad for people who are lactose intolerant or have celiac. Imagine having both I think to myself as I polish off my food. I look down to my stomach to see some bloating, but I shrug and move on. Cameron and Daniela come over to our table and greet Mom first.
